I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.


An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

There are signs of fall everywhere, but it still feels like summer.


I’m embracing the coming season, but, at the same time, hanging onto the previous one.


Mother Nature can’t seem to make up her mind. Is it summer or fall?


Fall is my favorite season; I cannot wait for it to get here.


On our adventures around town this afternoon, I grabbed a decaf soy latte from Starbucks as an afternoon snack– in addition to an amazing caramel apple! 😉

Mal and I desperately need to go grocery shopping, so it was slim pickings for dinner tonight. I made myself a salad with romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, chia seeds, and Annie’s Goddess Dressing.


On the side, I had a piece of whole wheat toast with buffalo sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. (Apparently, I’m a serious buffalo sauce kick lately.)


Doesn’t cutting bread into quarters always seems to make it more fun to eat?



For dessert, I’m digging into the Chocolate Chip Squash Bread. (I’m obsessed!)

I’m watching a movie and cuddling with M & m on the couch tonight. It’s so nice to be home.

  1. Yum! That buffalo sauce sounds so good. I remember you had posted about buffalo sauce tofu one day and I definitely want to give that a try soon! I also can relate to wanting to move onto fall but still holding onto summer! It’s the weather that’s getting me. Today, it was so summery walking to class and I busted out my favorite summer dress! Have a wonderful night! 🙂

    I love your first photo… gorgeous… I am feeling the same way, I am excited for fall, but we’re still having warm days. I saw pumpkins at the store today – I can’t wait to get my pumpkins!!

  4. The book looks awesome! So exciting. Its so HOT in DC tonight. Humid with heat lightening. Summer hasn’t left us yet! We have had nice cool mornings though…

  5. I definitely don’t understand the weather in Boston but I like it this way. I love the fall colours but also the warm weather and we seem to have the great combination for now!

  6. Happy First Day of Autumn 🙂 Without a doubt, fall is my favorite season, thanks to the cool, crisp weather and gorgeous colors here in the northeast! So excited for sweaters, boots and jeans and apple picking!

  7. How do u know what ur feel good weight is. I’m 5″4″ and 106 and feel fine but because of a history with anorexia everyones always on me to gain weight. Any indicators of how u know what a healthy weight for u really is?

  8. I always cut my wraps and sandwiches into four. I tend to HOUSE my food, so this sort of forces me to sit back and enjoy it more.

    I’m eager for fall as well!
