Happy Hump Day! Here’s a fun, little post. What I am lovin’ lately:
Group Buys
Groupon, Eversave, BuyWithMe, Living Social… I love them all. I probably buy too many of them, but I can’t help it. I love a good deal! I also love massages, which is what I spend most of my money on. I don’t think I’ve paid full price for a massage since I signed up for all of these different deals. I always use them, so it’s worth it in the end, right? Plus, massages are good for the mind, body, and soul!
Last night, thanks to Eversave, I enjoyed a 60-minute massage for just $40! It was soooo nice!
The Beatles
In junior high, I was obsessed with The Beatles. It was the only music I listened to for a solid two years straight. I still love The Beatles, but they fell off my rador for awhile.
A few weeks ago, American Idol had a special night where contestants sang songs from The Beatles. Ever since then, I’ve been listening to them on Grooveshark while I work during the day. The Beatles rule.
Oxygen Magazine
I love magazines. Love them. I usually stick to a few favorites, but, lately, I’ve been loving Oxygen Magazine. I thought it was just a body building magazine, but it’s really not. It has some great workouts and pretty good nutrition advice and recipes”” you just have to ignore all of the ads for supplements and stuff like that.
Paradice Ice Packs
These ice packs are awesome!! Here’s why: they’re soft and conform to your body, they don’t melt and make a mess, and you can wear them and still walk around the house, which is important for people like me who can’t sit still. I’ve been using mine after all of my long runs for my IT bands and hip, and it’s been helping a lot.
Soy-Glazed Fish
I’ve written about this recipe for Soy-Glazed Fish a number of times on CNC. It’s the best. It’s so easy to make, takes very little time to cook, tastes delicious, and provides healthy protein and omega-3’s. Once again, Mal and I ate it for dinner last night. Delish!
What are you lovin’ lately?

LOVE the group buys! That is how we determine where we’re going for our one night out to eat 🙂 Other loves:

I really like Oxygen Mag too, they have a lot of good workouts and tips. You should check out Clean Eating magazine sometime, they have awesome “clean” recipes, and the magazines are put out by the same publishing company.
Anyways … happy hump day! : )
oh wow, jealous of your massage! today i’m lovin’ my coffee that’s supporting me through a very busy week. thank God for coffee…:)
I love Group deals too! I get like 15 each day in my email. It’s pretty much ridiculous.
Can I ask you a question!?! I love the groupons too. My husband is in business and has recently started up a “groupon” type page with some slight differences. What do you find draws you to the sites the most? Is there one site in particular you like better? Just thought I’d ask since you brought it up & I’ve been helping him with it all day! Thanks 😀
btw- the beatles are usually my running music of choice, as weird as that may be!
I like whatever offers me the best deal! 🙂 Actually, the location of the deal is big for me. I live so far outside the city now.
Thanks 🙂
Those ice packs look awesome! I need to get a few of those. Lately, I’m loving multigrain, flax, chia chips from Whole Foods, Whole Foods in general, hot cocoa getting me through the afternoon, and just taking time to be at home.
Coconut oil. I’m obsessed, as per all my posts lately!
The Beatles are my favorite! Right now I’m loving overnight oats. I’m having them at least 4 times a week for breakfast!
I am loving the farmer’s market here in my new city, Auckland, New Zealand! the produce is heavenly and CHEAP!
I am loving the warmer weather we have been getting a taste of here and there, brunch, my dog (always) and the show Parenthood- I stopped watching it for a few and caught up on like 6 episodes while I was sick earlier this week- such a good show!
I am lovin’ Selma Brownies!http://taralynnupshaw.blogspot.com/2011/03/mmm-bop-ba-duba-dop.html
wearing shorts and t-shirts, that it is almost spring break, listening to old music that I recently put on my ipod, and your blog!! 😉
I’m an Oxygen fan as well. I started reading it about 6 months ago. I pretty much read each issue cover to cover but I ignore the ads. I’m also lovin’ Celestial Seasons peppermint tea. In fact, I’m hooked on it now instead of diet coke.
My mum! It’s her birthday, so I have to say that 🙂
Food Things I am Loving Right Now: Red velvet cupcakes, those damn Cadbury Easter eggs (so good!), vanilla lattes & croissants with melted brie & turkey!
Non-Food Things I am Loving Right Now: Christian Louboutin Nude Pumps, Peonies, Lemon Scented Candles, Celebrity Apprentice!
I just found your blog today. I’ve added it to my google reader. My hubby and I started our road to healthy living in September 2010. I’ve found some great inspiration on your blog. Thank you.
i’m way too addicted to groupon/living social/etc. it’s a problem!
Omg I can’t stop buying groupons too! Best excuse to order $100 worth of food for one!
I am a HUGE Beatles fan. Have you see Across the Universe? Good movie, great music (all Beatles songs, of course it’s good!)
Dark chocolate reese cups and mexican tamales…random but SO good!
I’ve always kind of been intimidated by the looks of Oxygen magazine, so it’s good to know that there’s some useful stuff in there!
Lately I’ve been loving Bengal spice tea, gouda cheese, over-the-knee boots, and the farmer’s market. 😀
Not a bad list for one day. Might have to buy one of those massage deals one of these days.
I’ve been loving blackberries, having a kitchen all to myself, my job and my brand new puppy!
Just got ‘the stick’… oh my goodness, lovin’ it. I had been lusting over it for… ohhhh… 3 years and B told me to just do it. We both love it!
I am loving be within walking distance of Harvard Square and Porter Square. And there’s a small part of me that loves not having to worry about a car.
I stated getting into saving coupons lately. Also, my new Breville Juicer and the Canadian Living Mag (Canada) which as tons of recipes in it!!
never heard of Paradice Ice Packs and very intrigued. BTW – I can’t sit still either!!
I love your list, Tina.

* my mom for helping me out this morning on my crazy commute to work
*Whole foods, all the time
* the shiraz I had with dinner!
🙂
I can go crazy with Groupon and Living Social deals too! Lately I’ve been crazy about Ideeli.com, I’ve found some great designer buys on that site!
I love Oxygen Magazine. I have some of their first issues,I’m a big fan! They have great workouts and fun clean eating recipes. It’s like Shape or Women’t health magazine but with a little more muscle workouts.
Adele! Her new CD “21” is sooooo good!
I would love to have Groupon’s baby if it were a possibility, thats how much I love it! Plus their customer service rocks and they are happy to refund your money back for pretty much any reason. I made an appointment today for a mani/pedi that I bought off of there months ago, I can’t wait!
Im not a fan of oxygen magazine. I used to be a hardcore one though.
I started saving 3 years worth of them and finding a TON of contradictions.
Like, one issue said that pb was bad for you.
Then a few months later it ended up being #3 on their healthiest food lists.
I think a lot of magazines do that, sadly.
I second the “groupon” love; I literally had to re-do my budget because I was buying so many. I’m also loving Health magazine, and my mini vacation that starts tomorrow!
I am loving:
1. that my to-do list for our move to S. Korea is getting a tiny bit smaller, every day
2. that my parents are coming for a visit soon!
3. chocolate chips, blue cheese crumble, craisin, and spinach salads, sweet potato fries, Jamba Juice, and working out hard-core again
4. becoming more commited to our blog!
5. getting my Zumbatomic certification:)
I loving the fact that I start my new job next Monday and that this week has been full of financial good news! 🙂
I’m so obsessed with group buys too! I even did a story about it on my social media blog, with a list of all the deal sites- http://thesocialrobot.com/2010/08/beyond-groupon-localized-deal-a-day-sites/
Me too for group buys! I just snagged $14 worth of baked goods from a great bakery for $7. I’m also loving Trader Joe’s spinach salad kit with dried cranberries, candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles and raspberry vinagrette. It’s like eating a candy salad!
Check out getsugar.com too! Based in the Boston area and caters only women. Has some really great deals in Boston and South Shore area.
Hey excellent blog, very impressed!
