I’m Home and Never Leaving

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots β€˜N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

I’m exhausted from traveling so much lately. Right now, I feel just like this guy:

I cannot explain how happy I am to be home. I’m never leaving! πŸ˜‰

Before my flight home, I grabbed breakfast at the airport. There were slim-pickings, so I opted for a vegan oatmeal cookie with walnuts. I figured it was more nutritious than the muffins and scone options.

I also grabbed an iced coffee.

On the plane, I munched on some cookies and a glass of water.

And during my layover in Detroit, I ate some oatmeal from Caribou Coffee.

The crunchy topping was quite delicious. I wonder what it was exactly?

Unpacking and getting my life together.

How was your weekend?

P.S. If you’re a blogger or reader living in London, please leave a comment on this post. A reader is looking to meet some like-minded folks there.

  1. I seriously get exhausted just reading about all your traveling. I’m sure it’s fun, but I couldn’t do it!
Absolutely LOVE Murphy’s Pats jersey! He is so cute.

  2. Ha! I wish I lived in London. I can dream…
My weekend had way too much cooking and not enough school work; but isn’t that the fun of it all?
There’s definitely nothing better than being home. 3 weeks gone and I miss my dog

  3. i work at caribou coffee and i can tell you that the “crunch” in the maple brown sugar crunch is similar to the topping on a coffee cake. main ingredients: wheat flour & sugar. it’s pretty delicious!

hope you have a nice relaxing evening. i enjoyed your niman ranch posts!

  4. I know that feeling of just wanting to get home and be with the ones you love! Welcome home! πŸ™‚ I’m sure your guys are thrilled to have you back. My weekend was awesome, and it included a great 8-mile run this morning. Thanks for writing about your travels!

  5. Hi Tina,

Longtime reader, first time commenter. I had to delurk because I was on the team at Caribou that developed their oatmeal! The topping on the maple sugar flavor is just brown sugar and some butter (of course) like the topping of a crumble. Did you try the regular oatmeal or 7-grain?

Seeing my baby on the internet makes me feel famous!

  6. My weekend was good, I went to a wedding on Friday, drank waaay to much and was hungover on Saturday, haha. Had a great 6 mile run this morning though.

  7. I could not travel like you do! I love to be home so much. A little travel is ok to fall back in love with home, but being away from your pug and your man so often must be so tough for all of you. Hope your schedule chills out for a while.

  8. I am always ready to come home after a long trip- the best part is walking through my front door πŸ™‚

Btw, there is a pug t-shirt at dealnews.com- I thought of you when I saw it.

  9. I’m glad you made it home ok – sorry we couldn’t meet up. The DSM FM was dreary, but excellent. I came home with some goodies.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed Iowa, but there are some amazing and famous things I feel you’ve missed out on. I could send you a care package/gift basket, if you’d like. Let me know. I have some excellent foodie ideas!

  10. Dear Tina,
Can I say THANK YOU so much for changing the
having to click to read the current post!!!!
You are awesome, thanks for being flexible for your
I am grateful and really pleased πŸ™‚ Cheers!

  11. Somehow I doubt it’ll be long before you’re jetting off on another wonderful adventure…but it certainly is nice to have relaxing, normal time at home too!

  12. SUPER busy, but fun! Went to a veg fest (tried raw, vegan, and vegetarian foods from over 100 vendors!) and I went to support my grandpa and the Shriners at a dinner tonight.

Have a great time relaxing at home!

  13. I don’t live in London, but I will be studying abroad for a semester there come January! I would love to meet/hang out with anyone who’s a foodie but also health conscious.
