I Just Had to Run

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.


An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

It’s 67 degrees outside! I love it!! With this type of weather, I just had to run!

I’m running a half marathon on Sunday, so I only ran 4 miles, but I pushed myself to stay at 9-minute miles, which was tough. Running is not easy. At times, I was dying out there, but it was still fun to run outside in the sunshine. It’s been awhile, ya know?

I guess Murphy was really excited to see me when I returned home from my run?

Then, the pug gave me tons and tons of kisses. I must have tasted deliciously salty after my run because the licking didn’t stop!

Lunch was kind of random today, but it worked for me in the end. I had some leftover roasted brussels sprouts, almonds, fresh blueberries, and a container of peach Stonyfield yogurt. Random, yet tasty and satisfying.

After lunch, I finished off the Oatmeal Almond Butter Cookies and enjoyed an Almond Cookie iced coffee from Marylou’s. Apparently, almond is the food of the day.

Tonight, I have a double-date at a new restaurant in Boston. I feel like I haven’t been out to dinner in the city in ages, so I’m really looking forward to it!

  1. I want to start distance running but every time I start training at get myself to running 6 miles at once my knee starts to hurt. I have never injured it so I dont know what that’s about. Then I read your blog and I want to run again, what to do…
