Happy (Cookie) Friday! I hope you have plans to enjoy it to its fullest! You know I do! š
Breakfast
Check 3 more foods off of the list! My breakfast included bulgur, pumpkin, and almonds. Booyah! Also in the mix: Almond Breeze, cinnamon, ground ginger, chia seeds, and two scoops of almond butter.
Bulgur is so delicious for breakfast! I love the chew factor. It has a lot more texture than rolled oats.
I drank a small iced coffeewith breakfast because I plan to grab another one after Body Pump today. It’s going to beĀ a special Friday treat!
So, in addition to transferring all of my photos, Mal moved all of my music over to my new computer. I spent most of last night rediscovering songs that I had forgotten about.
While sorting through songs, I stumbled upon a bunch of embarrassing ones, including Lindsay Lohan’s āRumorsāĀ and a few from Nickelback and The Calling. (I guess I liked Butt Rock at some point?) But, the best song (although more random than embarrassing) was the theme song from Garfield and Friends. Remember that show? I used to watch it every morning before school.
Mal and I downloadedĀ the songĀ one night after arguing about the lyrics. We both claimed to be HUGE fans of the show, but neither of us could remember the exact words. (We are nerds.) I guess I never deleted it from iTunes.
Question of the Day
What’s the most embarrassing song in your music collection?
P.S. Don’t forget to follow me for a chance to win a 3-piece Le Creuset Cookware Set. We’re picking a winner on Monday morning!

I’ve got the complete discography of most embarrassing boy bands… Hanson, Nsync, NKOTB, Backstreet Boys… O’Town, No Authority (does anyone remember them!?!)… the list goes on. Sometimes taking me back to my childhood is exactly what i need to get in the mood to run!
Mine would have to be Barbie Girl by Aqua. Remember that song? I still workout to it!
“Come on in, come to the place where fun never ends/ Come on in, it’s time to party with Garfield and Friends/ Garfield and Friends!”
I used to LOVE that cartoon too!! I *still* often catch myself humming the tune to myself! You and Mal sound so much like my boyfriend and I in our cartoon-theme song arguments.
“…and pies of (and pies of) ALL SIZES!”
Thanks for making me feel not-so-alone in my dorkiness š
That sounds like an argument my hubs and I might have had after at least a few marTINA’s š I recently got rid of all my old CD’s, which included Ace of Base and Montell Jordan. In my defense, I think I was in the 7th grade or something!
I think my ipod is full of embarrassing music š At the top I would have to say is “Hangin’ Tough” by NKOTB!
My Barry Manilow collection š
I have an entire Bangles album on my iPhone…”Walk Like An Egyptian”. My (teenaged) kids just laugh at me when it pops up on a shuffle in the car.
Somehow an old (as in 30 years old) Sesame Street album got transferred to my iTunes, so imagine my surprise when in the middle of shuffle while I’m sweating on the elliptical, I hear Bert & Ernie belt out “The National Association of W Lovers.” I later looked and yep, the entire album is there. That’s when I went to playlists š
I should try bulghur then! I don’t really like the half-chew/half-mushy texture of rolled oats. I prefer my smooth creamy oatbran, or the chew of steelcut oats, so bulghur = win!
It’s more of a genre than particular song but I’ve always had a soft spot for hair metal. I’ve seen Motley Crue, Def Lep & Whitesnake in concert too.
the golden girls theme song. so classic, so good.
Another child of the 80’s here. But lately I’ve been listening a lot to “She’s So High” by Tal Bachman, a song I got really sick of back in the day but LOVE again. (My daughter likes when I sing it to her.)
I’m sure I have a lot but off the top of my head I’m going to go with Jessica Simpson.
I have her stuff too! I actually still kind of like it.
My man owns all of the Garfield and Friends DVDs.. Sometimes I watch them in the morning while eating my oats. Other days it is the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Those are mine =)
i’m completely embarrased about this, but for some reason, I have the skit from SNL with Justin Timberlake “D%CK in a box” on my ipod. I don’t know how it got there, nor do I care to, I just haven’t taken it off. I never listen to it, but it makes me laugh when it comes on!
No joke, I totally have Lindsay Lohan’s “Rumors” on my running playlist! lol I have amazing taste in music. š
Mylie Cyrus – See You Again….and I love working out to it š
I still rock NSync on my iPod. Try listening to the NSync Pandora Station sometime. It will blow your mind.
Haha, love it! Most embarrassing song(s) in my collection is definitely the Crossroads soundtrack.
I may or may not have over 70 backstreet boys song on my iPod…
I LOVED that show back in the day! It’s so embarrassing, but someday I’d like to get it on DVD. I can claim it’s for my kids, but really it’d be for me.
