Crema Cafe

Last Friday, I visited the Crema Cafe in Harvard Square for lunch, and now, I’m completely smitten! You will see a lot of this place on the blog in the future!

I visited the Crema Cafe during lunchtime, and it was crazy-busy! Holy moly, it was packed! When I saw the long line of people waiting to place their orders, I almost turned around and walked out the door. The line, however, moved surprisingly fast. I hadn’t even made up my mind on what to order, and suddenly, I was at the front of the line! The Crema employees were incredibly skilled at moving the line along!

If you guys haven’t notice already, I love blogging about the decor and atmosphere inside eating establishments. The look and feel of the place contributes to the entire dining experience, and usually, I think it’s important to highlight! 😉

The decor inside the Crema Cafe is airy, modern, and industrial, blended with a cozy, quaint, and charming, but upscale coffeehouse-feel. Personally, it reminded me of the South End (in Boston) mixed with Burlington, Vermont. The layout is long and narrow with high ceilings, brick walls, and a loft-type area that provides additional seating to customers. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and efficient.

Even though the Cafe was super crowded, I was still able to find a seat at the counter. I waited only a few minutes before my sandwich was served to me in a cute wicker basket.

The menu at the Crema Cafe is excellent! It includes lots of my favorites– coffees, teas, sandwiches, salads, and desserts! The menu doesn’t have a ton of options, but the selections are nutritious, wholesome, and tasty.

For lunch, I ordered the Rosemary-Goat Cheese sandwich, which was soft goat cheese mixed with rosemary, walnuts, and honey on sliced French bread. It was heaven between two slices! 😉

The sweet, honey-flavored walnuts + the smooth, creamy, rosemary goat cheese was a truly amazing flavor combo! I’m still fantasizing about it! 😉

The Crema Cafe is my type of place! I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

P.S. The pastry case at Crema Cafe looks scrumptious! I’m definitely trying one of their cupcakes next time!
