Woah. Today totally flew by! But, time flies when you’re having fun, right? 😉
This afternoon, I had the opportunity to enjoy lunch with a CNC reader and then chat with one of Mal’s colleagues. The focus of both meetings was one of my favorite subjects: pugs blogging!
Madison, a Junior at Princeton University, invited me to lunch to discuss food blogging as part of the research for her mini-thesis. She wanted to meet informally, so I could give her a better idea of what exactly blogging means and entails for me. Madison also wanted to see me in action! She even snapped a couple of photos of me taking photos of my food!
Madison and I had a TON in common, including our love for running, pugs, and bread. We love carbs! We had no problem finding things to talk about during lunch!
Madison and IÂ went to the Rustic Kitchen for lunch. I ordered the Grilled Vegetable Panini, which was served with portobello mushroom, zucchini, summer squash, roasted red peppers, mozzarella, and basil aioli on ciabatta. I especially loved the bread, which was buttery and a tad crispy.
On the side, the panini came with mixed greens.
After lunch, I said goodbye to Madison and met Mal and one of his colleagues, who wants to start her own food blog. She had a lot of questions for me, so we met over a drink at the Union Brewhouse to chat.
While blabbing on and on about blogs (I just can’t help myself), I drank a Goose Island Honker’s Ale.
For dinner, I ate this same salad and a bunch of these. I also ate a Nature’s Path Mmmaple Pecan Bar and a bunch of dried apricots, but I never snapped a photo.
Mal and I are hosting a brunch at our house in the morning, so I’m off to cook and clean!
Good night!

Blogging is such a hot topic right now. I think it is fantastic. They are truly a labour of love and I enjoy reading so many of them!
You are definitely a South Shore local now hanging out at the Brewhouse. My husband and I go there all the time- they always have GREAT beers on tap!
I could talk about blogging allllllllllllll day . . . especially to some one who finds it interesting / a blogger themselves. Actually Brad has decided to give in to blogging (although not about food, about art and design) and he’s been asking me questions all week. I totally feel like the authority in our house right now 😉
What a fun afternoon! I get the opportunity to meet one of my blogging friends in person this weekend and am so excited! Like you, I can talk blogging all day:)
