Hello, hello!
I never enjoyed the cocktail I planned to have last night, so I decided to have one this evening and it’s waiting for me on the back porch right now, which means I am going to whiz right through this post. Hope ya don’t mind!
Snack
I woke up bright and early this morning to meet my friend Jen for a girls’ date in Cambridge. Before I left the house, I ate a couple of scoops of almond butter and made myself an iced coffee with coconut milk to take with me on the drive.
On the agenda: a facial at Corbu + brunch at Henrietta’s Table.
Jen and I both received coupons for a free facial at Corbu when we attended the Charles Hotel Annual Press Party back in February, so we decided to cash them in today.
My facial was great (very relaxing – it included a neck, shoulder, and arm massage, which felt amazing), and I really liked the esthetician (Emma). She was super friendly, really knowledgeable, and gave me a couple of recommendations to improve my skin.
Brunch
After our facials, Jen and I headed to Henrietta’s Table for brunch. When we got there, it was super packed because of Father’s Day, but, luckily, since it was just the two of us, we didn’t wait long for a table.
I started with an iced latte, which was delicious—strong and creamy.
To eat, I went with two eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns, and a flax muffin. As expected, everything tasted incredibly delicious—so delicious, in fact, I was not “allowed” to tell Mal about it because he didn’t want to get anymore jealous of my breakfast at Henrietta’s Table than he already was. Haha! He loves brunch at Henrietta’s Table!
When I got home, Mal and I took Murphy to the dog park. It was a beautiful day, so all three of us were excited about the ride.
So of us more than others!
After spending about an hour at the park, we drove home and then got started on some home improvement projects.
Mal tackled most of the outdoor projects while took care of things inside.
Snack
Once I was finished with the indoor stuff, I snacked on a hardboiled egg and a couple of handfuls of Pretzels Crisps. Mal is firing up the grill right now, so dinner should be finished in a little bit.
Off to enjoy my cocktail! Enjoy the evening, guys!

It was SUCH a beautiful day in Boston! After going to the gym this morning, I just wanted to enjoy the outdoors so I went on a run around the BC Reservoir. Such a great day to spend outside, enjoy your cocktail and the evening!
What a fantastic Sunday Tina! That flax muffin looks awesome!
I love the buffalo wing pretzel crisps. I haven’t seen the chipotle cheddar yet, but I can’t wait to try them.
So cute! It looks like Murphy is helping with the home improvements.
And I am so jealous… I haven’t had a facial in forever. Massages and facials are my ultimate pamper-me luxuries! Happy Sunday!
Sounds like a fun day-your massage and brunch sounded divine! I’m not much for chain restaurants, but your muffin reminded me of the apple bran muffins at Cracker Barrel that I get every single time I go. I need to find a recipe to make them at home myself!
As an alumni I love Mal’s UVM shirt!
I love taking Thumper to the dog park! I get such a thrill out of seeing him dip in the water. Such cute pics of Murphy, he is so photogenic.
Murphy is such a happy puppy!! Enjoy your cocktail, girl!
I love getting facials, they are super relaxing!
Looks like a great and relaxing Sunday! Have a fabulous week!
I’ve never heard of flax muffins, what do they taste like? Everything on your plate looks delicious, I can see why Mal would be jealous.
dip into the almond butter jar = best way to start off a sunday
I had a facial on Friday (in Asheville) and was blown away with how much massage the esthetician threw in! After the scalp portion, my hair looked amazingly wicked.

That sure looks like a happy pug!
Mmm, your bfast looks delicious! I don’t remember the last time I had a savory bfast. I never been to a spa place but I would love to go to one. It seems very refreshing and relaxing
Glad you had a great Sunday!
mm those cheddar pretzels sound delicious i haven’t seen that flavor yet
What do you prefer in iced coffee- soy milk or coconut milk? I love the former but am not tempted to try the latter in my iced coffee!
I usually drink almond milk or coconut milk in my iced coffee– both are delicious!
I laughed out loud to Murphy’s first photo up there, I am channeling some of his contentedness today as I try to beat the traffic round the city! What a cutie! And what a gorgeous day;) Thank you for sharing, as always I continue to perk up after reading your blog!
Ooo I’ve never gotten a facial but it sure sounds nice!
Facials, brunch, and time with M&M sounds like the perfect Sunday! I hope you enjoyed that cocktail too.
Sounds like a wonderful Sunday! And Murphy is ADORABLE
love Mal’s Sub Pop shirt! awesome!
That hydrangea is gorgeous! They are my favorite flowers, but I can’t seem to make them live.
Oh, and Murphy’s face in the car window is priceless!
Glad you liked your facial! I got one once but I had no idea what to expect, so it was kind of weird at first, but then it was relaxing…eventually
I prefer massages, though!
Oh your facial sounds great. I used to live in Boston (Southie) and I love reading all your posts about the places in the area you go to. Have you ever gone to Border Cafe in Cambridge? I used to go there often.. couldn’t beat the price of $5 margaritas! lol. And, pretzel crips are totally addicting. I can’t even eat one because I can’t stop and before I know it, I’ve eaten the whole bag..eek!!
I love Border! I used to work at Harvard, so I’d go there all the time. I love their warm tortilla chips!
Haaha Murphy in the car is actually one of the cutest things I’ve seen today!
