• Who’s “Your” Team?

    April 26, 2012

Wicked bummer about the Bruins. They lost in overtime 2-1 to the Capitals last night. I’m not a huge hockey fan, but I was still a little sad that they lost.

    Dinner

Before the Bruins game, Mal and I met up with our long, lost friends Dave and Marie for dinner at Max & Dylans (my 30th surprise birthday party was there!). They moved to Maine back in the fall, which was very, very, very sad, so we don’t see them as much anymore, but they were both in Boston for the day yesterday, so we made plans to get together.

For dinner, I ordered the Roasted Turkey Sandwich, which came with oven-roasted turkey, avocado, Jack cheese, and cranberry chutney and French fries on the side. It was sort of a pathetic-looking sandwich, but it was really tasty and an awesome mix of flavors.

It was so great to catch up with Dave and Marie. It was just like old times. We’re planning to get together again in early June, mid-July, and one other time this summer, so they won’t be our long, lost friends anymore.

    Breakfast

I woke up craving peanut butter and banana this morning—but not any ol’ peanut butter, specifically Super Chunky Teddie Peanut Butter, which, in my opinion, is the best peanut butter on earth. It’s thick, chunky, and salty, which tastes amazing with banana or anything slightly sweet. I really love that salty-sweet combo.

I loaded the peanut butter on thick this morning.

    Question of the Day

    Who’s “your” sports team?

The only sports team I’ve ever followed (ever) is the UVM men’s basketball team when Mal was in school there and for the few years following. I was semi-obsessed with the team and followed their season very closely. When the head coaches (Tom Brennan and then Mike Lonergan) left, I stopped following the team.

I always thought I was a Colts fan that was until they cut Peyton Manning this spring and he signed with the Broncos. I guess I really don’t have a team but more like a person. I am a Peyton Manning fan through and through and will root for any team that he is a part of. :)

i’m glad the Bruins lost…haha. They’re a bunch of punks. Especially Lucic. :)

i’m a huge football and hockey fan. Primarily Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres but also a fan of Houston sports since i’ve lived there also.

Needless to say, the Bills and Sabres have never won a championship. The bills lost 4 superbowls in a row and have only been to the playoffs once since then….(back in 2000!!!) I’m hoping I see at least 1 in my lifetime.

There’s really nothing better than catching up with good friends!

“My” team is the Milwaukee Brewers. Baseball, baby! To be honest, I was never really a fan until hubby got into it 6ish years ago. Then I caught the fever & really got into it. I even took second place in a fantasy baseball leauge compiled of all dudes! Gmes at Miller Park are so SO. MUCH. FUN. that we decided to buy season tickets this year. We even named our dog Fielder, after Prince Fielder, who was unfortunately traded to the Tigers this year. :(

I don’t follow many sports teams, but I was obsessed with Andy Roddick for a while. I used to play badminton competitively back in high school (feel free to laugh — most do, lol) and I find tennis a lot like watching badminton. And the men are usually pretty nice to look at ;)

I know I’m sorry about the Bruins loss last night. I’m originally from the DC area so I was rooting for the Caps, but it was a great series! All of the games went into overtime for the first time in NHL history. Great game and great effort all around from both teams.
