• Put Me to Work

    September 2, 2011

Last night, Mal and I made a list of what we want to accomplish around the house before he goes back to school on Tuesday, so we’re going to be busy in the next few days.

First project: spray painting the wicker bench on our sun porch. We dug it out of my in-law’s barn, so it’s in pretty rough shape. We figured a coat of spray paint would liven it right up— and it did!

    Spray paint is the coolest.

    Before: dingy and dusty.

Enter: two cans of white spray paint.

After: clean, crisp, and good as new!

Today’s lunch was a mix-and-match of random foods that were on their last leg and about to go bad, so I ate them up.

On the menu: open-face egg white sandwich with buffalo sauce, sliced tomato with sea salt and ground pepper, cherries, and a plum. I concluded lunch with a peanut butter cookie Larabar.

Look who came back to enjoy a tomato on the back porch! The little bugger stole it off of our tomato plant.

    Look at that mocking stare!

    What a jerk.

Power washing the porch and painting the bathroom are potential projects for the afternoon. Oh, boy!

I think that squirrel is an official pet now! 🙂

The chair looks great – so pretty!

LOL, that squirrel is getting the best of ya 😛 Maybe you should send Murhpy out to get him? Or maybe not, in case they become friends and Mr. Squirrel wants to join you inside for some tomatoes!

@Allison: Haha! I’m not sure if Murphy would know what to do!
