Mal had another late day at school today, so Murphy spent the majority of his afternoon waiting for ’Dad’ on the back of the living room couch. The back of the couch overlooks the front yard and the driveway, so as soon as Dad gets home, Murphy knows it! Is that him?
Over the past month or so, I’ve snapped (and gathered) photos of Murphy at his pug post for no other reason than to share them on the blog. He’s so darn cute waiting patiently for Mal!
Dinner
Tonight’s dinner was simple, but, oh, so delicious— satisfying, too! We had (boil-in-a-bag) brown rice mixed with (canned) black beans and brussels sprouts.
I used this recipe for Hashed Brussels Sprouts with Lemon (minus the vermouth/white wine because I didn’t have any), but it’s not THE recipe from Saturday night. It’s close, but not quite right. Even still, my brussels sprouts turned out very well. Mal and I both went back for seconds!
And for dessert: Oreo cheesecake in front of a roaring fire while watching American Idol. Oooooh, yes! All I need is my new pink ducky footie pajamas!
Enjoy the evening, folks!
