Sweet & Salty

September 2, 2010

I love my husband. But, this morning, when he told me that he ran 4 miles in 30:22, I sort of hated him. That’s a 7:35 pace! Who is this freak of nature!?! He doesn’t even like running!! Not fair.

Mal headed out the door for his run as soon as he woke up, but I dilly-dallied around the house and took Murphy for a walk before I went for my run. I finished in 36:16, which is a 9:04 pace. It’s no 7:35 pace, but it’s pretty good for me! :-D

When I returned home, Murphy licked me to death. He loves my salty sweat! ;-)

He proceeded to follow me all over the house while I stretched, Tiger Tailed, and rehydrated. He wouldn’t stop licking me!! Murphy is a freak of nature, too! ;-)

Isn’t he sweet? ;-)

Breakfast

For breakfast, I made a Van’s waffle with peanut butter and chia seeds on top.

On the side, I had a pink grapefruit.

And, of course, iced coffee with soy milk.

I’m heading to NuVal later this morning. (Yes, I still work there!) I mostly work from home now, but I go into the office once a week or so. I just haven’t been there in awhile this time. I hope everyone remembers me! ;-)

Question of the Day

What is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to you?

I know I probably shouldn’t say this, but I get frustrated with my husband when he goes months, maybe years, then decides to run; and he is able to run 3 miles no problem. Then when I attempt even run a couple blocks, I am winded and have to take walking breaks. I work out 6 days a week for years for cripes sakes! I think it has to do with him being a boy and all (at least that’s what I tell myself to make me feel better).
My Abby (my dog) loves to lick my face after I have a sweaty work out. She’s so silly, and gets super excited about it. Chasing me around the house for her salt fix ;)
I hope that you and Mal have good luck today with your current offer on the house. Buying a house is so stressful! But in the end when you have found and bought the perfect house, it’s worth the stress :)
