Happy Monday! How’s your week going so far?

So, my recent post about what goes into writing blog posts for me spurred a number of questions about blogging, photography, and freelance writing, so I wanted to share some of the posts that I’ve already written:

If you have additional questions about blogging or related topics, please don’t hesitate to ask to me. Your questions will likely inspire new posts! 😉

Mid-morning, my stomach started to grumble, so I made a snack plate with a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Scone, some walnuts, and a dark chocolate Adora disk. The little bit of protein and fat from the walnuts held off my hungry for a couple of hours.

For lunch, I made an open-faced sandwich on Italian bread with Teddie peanut butter, chopped celery, and raisins.

This was a fun lunch! 😀

I still wanted something to eat after finishing my lunch, so I dug into a SOYJOY bar and an apple a little while later. I’m feeling snacky today.

I’m taking the pug for a walk next. He’s been super lazy today. Must be the weather.

    See ya for dinner! 😎

P.S. I’ve only received a few bids for Katie’s Fudge Babies. The high bid is $50 (at 3:05 pm), but I know we can do better. Please consider bidding for some yummy goodies and a great cause!

Oh gosh, those Adore discs are amazing aren’t they!?? Who’d know they’re so good for you…
I wish I could bid on the Fudge Babies 🙁

    Heather (Heather's Dish) September 27, 2010 at 1:36 pm

ok, sad story: your posts never actually show up for me! usually they show up in my reader before you actually have written them and then don’t load until 3 hours later 🙁

BUT this one worked and i can’t wait to go through the posts you’ve already written about blogging 🙂

    Runeatrepeat September 27, 2010 at 1:37 pm

    I want those fudge babies!!!

Emily @ The Happy Home September 27, 2010 at 1:38 pm

your lunch reminds me of my favorite snack as a kid– ants on a log! celery with PB in the crevice, with raisins on them to act as “ants”! my twin brother and i started eating that in kindergarten, and still eat it as 25 year old adults!

Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) September 27, 2010 at 1:38 pm

Looks like a tasty afternoon! Enjoy your walk!

Estela @ Weekly Bite September 27, 2010 at 1:38 pm

    Tina September 27, 2010 at 1:39 pm

@Estela @ Weekly Bite: @Heather (Heather’s Dish): If it happens, just refresh my post in your reader.

    Tina September 27, 2010 at 1:40 pm

It looks like a lunch flashback to my elementary school snacks…just in sandwich form. 😀

    Lisa September 27, 2010 at 1:44 pm

    B September 27, 2010 at 1:44 pm

Jessica @ How Sweet September 27, 2010 at 2:07 pm

I love that first pic! I want to frame that or get those blocks.

    ashleigh September 27, 2010 at 2:08 pm

it’s an ants on a log sandwich!

Bethany @ More Fruit Please September 27, 2010 at 2:12 pm

I just saw the idea of a peanut butter, celery, and raisin sandwich in Real Simple! My first reaction was, “peanut butter and celery… gross!” But I just realized that the sandwich is a different twist on Ants on a Log. Duh! Thanks for listing all of your posts related to blogging!

    Holly @ couchpotatoathlete September 27, 2010 at 2:13 pm

Thanks for sharing all of the blogging info Tina!

I liked your lunch until the celery part 🙁 But I suppose it is ants on a log on bread, right? I guess I believe you that it tastes good!

    Renee @ Get Inner-gized with Renee! ! September 27, 2010 at 2:29 pm

Oh my gosh! I’m lovin’ all this info in wonderful! i thank you so much for taking the time to write these blog posts! i’m definitely trying to get my blog on!! 🙂 I do have a question. You may not be able to answer b/c you’re not a mommy yet :), but do you have any blogging tips for a stay at home mommy to a 13 month old? I see you have the 9 to 5 er tips…but maybe you know a mommy blogger? 🙂 I just started my blog one month ago….I do have a business with it, but right now, since being home with baby girl, I’ve decided to just blog (see where it leads me)…and I have a Journalism degree, so writing comes pretty easy for me…but I’d really like to move my blog forward and wondering how I can do that while taking care of baby girl. Hope I’ve made sense here!

I really need to try those scones!! deeelish!! 🙂

    Clare September 27, 2010 at 2:30 pm

    Ariffa September 27, 2010 at 2:37 pm

ants on a log in sandwich form!?! great idea =)

    Tina September 27, 2010 at 2:44 pm

@Renee @ Get Inner-gized with Renee! !: I’m not a mom, so I don’t know. But, a lot of the ideas are easily transferable! 🙂

    Erin September 27, 2010 at 2:50 pm

I seriously need to make these pumpkin scones… but first need to hunt down some canned pumpkin!

    Mara @ What's For Dinner? September 27, 2010 at 3:10 pm

Ok, call me a creeper, but I thought of a great name for your sandwich… since it’s so close to ants on a log, I think I’d call this (at least for a resident 5-year-old) “Bugs on a Plank” or even “ants and grubs on a shingle”
    I’m a weirdo.

    Sarah@naturaldiabetic September 27, 2010 at 3:11 pm

Thanks for all of the tips on blogging. Just started one after wanting to for a long time. Always enjoy your posts and recipes!

    J3nn (Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) September 27, 2010 at 3:12 pm

    Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman September 27, 2010 at 4:00 pm

I love your posts about blogging. You should do a series on it, or a weekly feature. I find it so interesting how you do it.

    Kelley September 27, 2010 at 4:09 pm

Hi Tina! I had a question, do you ever get nervous that someone will see on your blog that you’re on vacation and break into your house or something? I am hesitant to put any blatant “I’m on vacation” photos up in case someone knows I’m away. What are your thoughts on that? Since you have so many readers, do you ever get concerned about stalkers or anything? I think I’m just overly paranoid. Thanks!

    Tina September 27, 2010 at 4:12 pm

@Kelley: No, never. I don’t think any of my readers know where I live.

Lynn (The Actors Diet) September 27, 2010 at 4:23 pm

i just got an email from a reader asking if i use anything to make “the actor’s diet” more easily searchable for google? and i don’t and was wondering if i should – do you? if so, any tips?

    Tina September 27, 2010 at 4:25 pm

@Lynn (The Actors Diet): Sadly, I have no idea about SEO. I need to hire someone to work on my blog or teach me a few things. Sorry that I’m not more help.

Jennifer @ Frost Bites September 27, 2010 at 5:30 pm

It was so nice to read about how you started blogging and everything else that grew out of it…I was especially touched reading the time last year when you resigned from your job…reason being is that I am at the point in my life where I, too, am thinking of resigning from a high-paying but stressful job to focus more on fitness training. I believe that I will finally do it…am just waiting for the “perfect time” in the next few weeks.

    stacey-healthylife September 27, 2010 at 6:33 pm

Those scones still look so tasty.

Chelsea at Striking Balance September 27, 2010 at 7:08 pm

I loveee your lunch! Grown up version of ants on a log! 🙂

    Hannah September 27, 2010 at 9:43 pm

I wish I could have that first snack of yours for every meal today…

    Kathryn September 27, 2010 at 11:00 pm

All of this information on starting a blog is extremely helpful!! I am just beginning one, the most challenging part for me is to remember to take photos during the day! I’m hoping to get better at this in the next few weeks!

    Courtney September 28, 2010 at 4:43 pm

Tina – You’re post couldn’t have come at a better time! I just started my own blog (like seriously, last night!) and was wondering where to find some tips! Thanks so much!
