Wine Date

My friend, Jen, is on her way over to our apartment for a wine date, so I really need to make tonight’s blog post snappy!

Lunch

The nice folks at NuVal treated us to a sushi (or pizza) lunch this afternoon. Sweet! The conference room was mayhem at lunchtime!

For lunch, I ordered a roll of Red Sox Maki, which was made with lobster, asparagus, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, tobiko, and spicy mayo. It was AWESOME!

Even though lunch was absolutely delicious, I was hungry just a few hours later. When I got home from NuVal, I snacked on an Apple Cinnamon Pure Bar.

And, a little while later, I munched on a bunch of dates, which I may or may not have dipped right into the jar of peanut butter. ;-)

Dinner & Dessert

My afternoon snacks held me over quite well, so when dinnertime rolled around, I wasn’t that hungry. I decided to have some leftover salad with balsamic vinegar.

IMG_0927

In the mix: lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, red cabbage, mushrooms, orange and green bell peppers, and radishes. The salad was actually pretty filing!

IMG_0924

For dessert, I dug into my chocolate stash! ;-)

Sharffen Berger makes the BEST dark chocolate! :-D

IMG_0917

I dipped my chocolate square right into the peanut butter jar. I love the chocolate + PB combo!

(The peanut butter dipping seemed to be a theme for the day! ;-) )

Oooo I love interesting combinations in sushi. I just might have to have sushi for lunch or dinner tomorrow. :-)

I love dipping things in PB or Almond Butter lately. Just makes things taste better.

Is that sushi from Ichiro in East Milton? One of my favorite sushu places!

If you like peanut butter in your hot chocolate, check out Castries Peanut Rum. It is awesome on its own, but combined with hot chocolate… unreal!

I don’t think I’d ever choose pizza over sushi. NuVal clearly knows how to treat their employees

What the heck is it with sushi…I’m left hungry not long afterwards as well? I’ve often thought that it’s the lack of fats. Hmmm. Plenty of protein right?

I love hearing about regional sushi in other states. I don’t know why, maybe I’m just a dork.
Here in Louisiana we have tons of “cajun” sushi with crawfish, crab, and spicy stuff.
Not too much lobster here. :(
