National Homemade Bread Day
Happy National Homemade Bread Day!!! 
There’s pretty much a day for everything, huh? Well, at least this is a delicious one! 
To inspire you to bake your own homemade bread today, here are some of my favorite recipes:
Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day
In honor of National Homemade Bread Day, you can win a copy of Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day by Dr. Jeff Hertzberg and Chef Zoë François.
Whether you are looking for more whole grains, whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, training for a triathlon, trying to reduce your cholesterol, or just care about what goes into your body, this book delivers.

The recipe for Chocolate Espresso Whole Wheat Bread in the book is now available for reprint and sounds so incredibly delectable, I just had to share it with you. If someone would like to make the cupcake version for me, I’d be ever so grateful!
And now onto breakfast!
Breakfast
For breakfast, I made a mushy bowl of oats with the help of some Raisin Bran, which the company mailed to me to enjoy. I’ve always loved Raisin Bran– even as a kid. There’s just something about those thin, crispy bran flakes and sugar-covered raisins!
In the mix:
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/2 cup Raisin Bran
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup vanilla soy milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed meal
- Raisins

It was a raisin bran & pumpkin day at my house this morning too. Only I had raisins on top of oat bran – so yummy.
I just wanted to let you know, I have been really enjoying your blog lately (not that I wasn’t before) All the fabulous articles and tips are so interesting. You really do such a great job. Not surprising that you are able to make a career out of it. Also the plethora of Murphy photos are always a joy to see. He is such an adorable little guy.
