A Lincoln Town Car

Hi, guys! I’m off to San Francisco for the Foodbuzz Festival this morning! Wahoo!  I’m SO excited to meet some of my “internet” friends! I’ll be tweeting all weekend long, so be sure to follow me on Twitter!

Last night, I prepared the most delicious breakfast for this morning: Mom’s Apple Crisp. It was heavenly! :-D

IMG_0226.JPG

I actually made two batches of apple crisp last night: one for me and one for Mal. I’m sure you can guess his & hers!

IMG_0228.JPG

After breakfast, I finished packing my things into my carry-on suitcase. Surprisingly, it had plenty of room in it this time! Maybe I’m getting this packing thing down after all!

While packing-up this morning, I had to stop and take a photo of my pile of electronics. Ridiculous.

And then Murphy wanted to get his photo taken with Mom.

There were so many pug kisses!!!

IMG_0243.JPG IMG_0245.JPG

And then a big pug yawn! So funny!

I’m rockin’ my Health Living Summit t-shirt today! ;-)

Promptly at 6:15 AM, a Lincoln town car arrived at my apartment to take me to the airport. Pretty fancy, right? The Bertolli folks hooked me up! I traveled in style this morning!

IMG_0252.JPG

Speaking of BertolliThank you to the wonderful people at Bertolli for sponsoring my experience at the Foodbuzz Festival this weekend. I can’t wait to meet the whole crew later today!

After a 5 minute ride, I arrived safely at the airport. I checked-in online last night and security took another 5 minutes, so now I have a couple of hours to kill before my flight departs.

I actually really like airports. It’s sort of weird. When Mal and I travel together, we’ll get to the airport like 3 hours before our flight departs. Usually, we eat a nice meal or get a cocktail, load-up on in-flight supplies (magazines, snacks, etc.) and people watch. We love it. I know, we’re strange. I also need to write my Health post for this week, so I’m sure the time will fly!

I just grabbed a coffee and some water from Cosi to help propel me through my work.

I will have Wi-Fi on my flight, so be sure to check back for blogging and twitter updates!

See ya from the sky! 8-)

I’m the same way. I like to eat, wander around, get coffee, read magazines…Some airports have really nice little restaurants too!

I love airports, too. There’s something sort of magical about knowing that in a couple of hours you are going to be somewhere completely different from where you are now… and of course there is something magical about (1) seeing people reunited… (2) Knowing that there is nothing to do but relax and wait.

    Have a nice trip!

Have fun, Tina! I’m sure this weekend will be a great and very memorable experience!

I’ve never minded airports, at all (unless I’m stuck in one indefinitely due to a flight change/problem). I’m one of those people who really likes having ample time to get my stuff in order, so I’ll normally arrive at the airport a couple hours early–just to ensure that everything goes according to plan, and that I have plenty of time to buy magazines! ;)

I like BIG airports. I have been flying into tiny ones with virtually nothing to do. Last night I was in the Santa Barbara airport and they don’t let you go through security until 15 minutes before you board, because they’re not enough room at the gate for more than one flight’s worth of passengers!
