Greetings from Charlotte! 8-)

If you haven’t already guessed, Mal and I flew down to NC to visit one of our favorite bloggers and her hubby, Kath and Matt!

After picking us up from the airport, Kath and Matt drove us to their home, where we had a quick tour and enjoyed a few beers, including some of Matt’s home brews.

After drinks, we headed to Zada Jane’s for a group dinner that Kath organized.

Zada Jane’s was such a funky, little place! :-D It reminded me of something you’d find in Burlington, VT or Fremont, WA.

At dinner, I ordered a couple of Breckenridge Vanilla Porters, which were so delicious! They were dark and smooth with a slight hint of vanilla.

For dinner, I ordered the “No-Da Salad,” which I cooly ordered as the “No-Daaaahhh Salad.”

In the No-Da Salad was marinated tofu with tomatoes, boiled egg, artichoke hearts, avocado, roasted corn, white cheddar cheese, sunflower seeds, sprouts, and spring mix. It was a good one! I especially liked the marinated tofu.

The group!

We’ve got a jam-packed Saturday ahead! See ya tomorrow!
