Greetings from the Church Street Starbucks!
I’m such a dork, but I love to pretend that I am a full-time blogger on my lunch breaks. I order my coffee, get all set up with my laptop, and blog away like it’s my job.
Wouldn’t blogging for a living be the best job ever?!? I know that I would enjoy it immensely! Well, there’s nothing wrong with dreaming, right? 😉
My view of Church Street:
My drink of choice this afternoon is an iced coffee with soy milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Lunch
I ate lunch at my desk today, so I could have some extra time to work on some “outside projects” during my blogging time. Eating and blogging simultaneously is actually quite difficult. I don’t have a chance to thoroughly enjoy my meal, so I try not to do it too often. Plus, I don’t want to spill food on my laptop!
Lunch started with leftover pizza with broccoli, red potato, and Fontina cheese, which was superb eaten cold.
The rest of my lunch included homemade trail mix + a banana.
In my trailmix:
- Banana chips
- Pecans
- 2 dried apricots
- Butterscotch chips
You Are What You Eat
A friend of mine recently sent me a link to this photo project: You Are What You Eat. The project displays “full frontal” photos of people’s refrigerators, including the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I found this project incredibility fascinating! I love seeing what other people have in their fridge because much of the time it says something about them.
This project also inspired me to create my own “You Are What You Eat” on Carrots ‘N’ Cake. I am going on vacation in a couple of weeks, so I thought it’d be fun to display images of what is inside your refrigerators while I am away. It’ll be cool to see if the contents of your refrigerators hold true to the idea: “you are what you eat.”
To participate:
Email me (tina@carrotsncake.com) a “full frontal” shot of your refrigerator by Monday, June 15.
With your “full frontal” refrigerator shot, please include the following info:
- First name (and/or blog URL)
- City, State
- How many people live in your household
- Occupation
- Brief sentence explaining how your fridge represents you.
Question of the Day
