I did the 20 minute lunar flow last night again. It was relaxing and stretched out my legs which I needed. I did very quick stretches following my run earlier in the day.

I have heard about those free yoga classes at lululemon! They are supposed to be great.

I wish I could find free yoga classes here! My gym does offer some, but they’re not until 8 pm and the gym is 40 minutes from our house, so I’ve only been doing yoga at home with the downloads or pose guides. Still good, though!

I love YogAmazing podcasts! They help me relax on vacation. I love that they are each catered to a different thing too. He’s so sweet! I’ve emailed him a couple times and he always gets back with me.

You should check out my favorite studio, Open Doors, if you’re looking for relatively inexpensive yoga classes… they’re $8 for students and $12 for everyone else. I go to the Weymouth and Hanover locations, but they also have studios in Canton, Westwood, Easton, and a few other places. It sounds like the Weymouth one might be closest to you, though. Check out http://www.opendoors7.com/studios

Yoga Day 18: Hip Opening Flow for 20 minutes with the BF. Didn’t have a lot of time, but wanted to fit it in. I’m always glad that I did

Thanks for the lululemon shout-out! I work at the Prudential Center lululemon, and would love to meet some C’n’C readers! If you are not in the Boston area, check out the lululemon athletica near you, as all our store locations offer complimentary classes to the public:

Thanks for sharing these cheap yoga classes! I have one to add to the list that I’ve been thinking of trying out: Om City Yoga in Cambridge has a $5 beginner’s class on Saturday at 4PM- it sounds perfect for those who are completely new to yoga and are afraid to take classes.

I really like that Morning Flow download! Much more movement that I thought it would have, too, but it does wake you up!

I love the morning flow, I like the 45 minute on the best!!
strawberry
do you have any suggestions for a relaxing YogaDownload practice?
Tina
@strawberry: Any of the “Gentle Yoga” downloads or the “Luna Flow.” They’re my favorite for a relaxing, slow session.

FOr yoga the past two days, I did Gentle Hatha, and last night I tried the 20 minute Power Yoga session….wow! It was MUCH more fast paced than the Hatha, but much more of a workout and used a lot of muscle! I loved it, gonna try it again tonight

here’s what I did:
Day 18: Booty Asana Flow + Yoga for Core + Fists of Fire Detox
Day 19: 70min of Vinyasa Flow

I did that session this morning as well. It definitely helped stretch me out since I slacked last night and after running yesterday…The wheels kicked my butt and I laughed when she said to extend your leg…no way was that happening today!

Tina, I am so behind on posting my yoga updates! This week, I have had some real breakthroughs in my practice with different poses. My balance is better, and the ones that used to feel awkward feel much more natural. Yesterday’s class was quite challenging with deep breathing and long holds and today’s was completely fast-paced with flow after flow. I truly don’t want my month-long workshop to end.

I too need to step up my Yoga a Notch;)

Day 20: I finally did yoga today. Yea me. I did 20 yoga for runners it’s actually 25 minutes. I don’t know if any of you have noticed that about the 20 minute downloads. It felt good to just do yoga. I have a long run tomorrow. I also got some good news: I think I got into the Nike women’s marathon. I did the lottery and this morning my account is being charged. Hey Tina are you still planning on doing a half marathon?
@sirenjess: Yep! I am running the Run to Remember in May. You can read all about my training here: http://carrotsncake.com/run-to-remember
This weekend I had some great yoga! On Friday night I did the 45 minute version of lunar flow and loved it! Saturday night I managed the 20 minute version of lunar flow, even though I was home late and just wanted to crawl into bed… the yoga definitely helped me sleep better!
On Sunday I did the 30 minute Goddess Yoga. I liked this practice, but it’s not something that I would like all the time. I liked the flow and there were some good questions posed to think about throughout the session.
A lovely yoga weekend!!
