I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.


An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

The other day, my friend Theodora blogged about all of the awesome stuff happening in the month of May for her. Her post was really fun to read, so I thought I’d write a similar one with what’s on my agenda for the month. Yay for May!

May 4: Bowling with CrossFit 781. Let’s hope I don’t get totally plastered like I did last time!

May 8 – 10: FITNESS Blogger Meet & Tweet. I’m speaking on a panel about “How To Turn Your Blog Into A Business” with Fitfluential Founder Kelly Olexa, and Fitluential Ambassadors Carla Birnberg (MizFit) and Julie Fagan (Peanut Butter Fingers). I love these ladies, so I’m really excited for our panel.


May 11: Blogger event at Reebok Headquarters. Rumor has it that the event includes a CrossFit workout?!?


May 15-16: Back to NYC to hang out with my friend Beth, who is visiting from San Francisco. We haven’t seen each other in ages, so it was time for a reunion. I can’t wait to see her!


May 18-19: Reach the Beach! Twelve bloggers in two vans, running 200 miles in 24 hours with a banana costume. It’s going to be fun!!!


May 23: Mal’s 30th birthday. I’m planning a Super Awesome Birthday Weekend for him in Maine with 14 of our friends (and Murphy). He’s going to have a blast!

May 25-27: CrossFit Northeast Regionals. I need to buy tickets!

May 27: Run to Remember Half Marathon. I want to PR at this race!

What’s making you say “yay for May”?



  1. My Yay for May excitement is the return of Cookie Friday (at least in my life 🙂 )! I totally drove 20 minutes out of my way this morning to grab the best Molasses cookie in the world. Worth it 🙂

  2. Yay for May starts tomorrow at Run For Your Lives in “Boston” (Amesbury) but they’re calling it Boston)!

  3. i am running my first 5k, susquehanna stride, on may 27th – my 28th birthday! reading your blog and tips for beginning runners definitely inspired me to just sign up for a race already. i’m excited, and hoping the rest of my training goes well!

  4. Yay for May! End of school (7 more days!!! Yes, I’m a teacher!) AND my CrossFit Level 1 trainer certification!!!!! Excited for this month!
