Frickin’ snow. WHY!?!?!?!?! 👿
Ok, that was sort of random, but that’s how I feel about the S word.
Breakfast
I tried something new for breakfast this morning: oat bran mixed with ricotta, almond milk, and honey. It was really creamy and sort of sweet. I also added a big scoop of almond butter for some added staying power.
And, as always, I drank an iced coffee with soy milk.
THIS IS COOL!!!
Last night, the rep from Smuttynose told me about a great training website for runners (and triathletes). It’s called ontri, and it creates FREE training plans for you based on your race distance, level, and date of the event.
With my crazy racing schedule this spring, I’m not actively training– I’m just trying to make it through alive! So, I’m focusing my attention on the Run to Remember at the end of May. I used ontri to create a half marathon training plan, which includes a mix of running workouts (intervals, fartleks, long, recovery) and it looks like it might help me PR?!
Question of the Day
Do you use online training tools? If so, what are your favorites?
I also love Dailymile! I record all of my runs with it!

wowww I can’t imagine having cold weather all the time. But I have to say, ricotta is amazing huh? stay safe out there Tina!!:)
I don’t use an online tracker, but I am DYING for the new IPhone to come out so I can use their apps! I can’t WAIT for a new phone. I think me and an IPhone will make as great friends. 🙂
I love Daily Mile, and use it to track my miles. We had 70 degree weather this last week, and now they’re predicting snow this weekend! Makes it so unfair…
i still remember nancy kerrigan like it was yesterday. ricotta sounds like a delicious addition to breakfast.
Dailymile is awesome. Ive never tried oat bran before, any difference from common oats?
Ontri sounds like an amazing tool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing ontri with your readers. I created it in 2004 as I was just getting into triathlon at the time and there wasn’t much out there for newbies. Its grown into a thriving and very friendly community of triathletes, runners, cyclists, etc. Check it out if if you have any questions, hit me up at info at ontri.com
My sentiments exactly! We got snow here too! 🙁
What?!?! So cool. The only online tool I use right now is mapmyrun…but I will certainly add this to my list.
wow that looks so handy! I’m overwhelmed by all the training programs online, but this seems like a good one since its personalized
Congrats! I’m a voiceover artist and I got a BIG voice job today to voice a book- That made me smile:)
I also use Daily Mile. I like the social aspects of it and also use it to track the mileage on my shoes. I use Garmin since I run with one, and also Buckeye Outdoors because that’s what my coach uses for our workout schedule.
This might make you feel better about the “s” stuff that you have… I live in Saskatchewan Canada and yesterday morning when I woke up it was -25C out, and we are still waiting for our 6feet of snow to START melting….*sigh* Someday I’ll be able to run and bike outside again! haha
