Hello and happy, happy, happy THURSDAY to you!
I’m mixing things up a little bit this week and publishing my weekly What I’m Loving Lately a day early. I hope that’s okay with you. Yes? Ok, then. Ready? GO!
Stop & Shop’s Buy Local program – Each week, Stop & Shop’s produce departments will highlight local farms and feature fresh items from them. Stop & Shop will celebrate all of its Buy Local efforts in stores throughout New England this Saturday (July 18) with visits from local farmers, family-friendly activities and produce sampling. Cool, right? I’m definitely planning to shop there on Saturday!
Get Organized With the 30-Day Declutter Challenge – LOVE THIS. Just download and check off items as you declutter. You don’t even have to start on the first of the month, just start today and follow the plan for the next 30 days. Boom!
My old Sit ”˜N’ Spin that my nephew now plays with – Seeing it at my sister’s house was a serious blast from the past. I used to love that thing so much. I’m glad Matthew is having a good time with it!
Dear Crappy Parent – Loved this x 1,000,000.
Sautéing kale and storing the leftovers in the fridge – I just grab some and throw it into meals (i.e. eggs, sandwiches, salads, pasta) for added nutrients.
Baked Zucchini Fries – These are totally on my must-make list for next week!
25 Amazing Ways to Save More at Target – I thought I knew everything about saving money at Target, but #6, #15, and #22 were news to me!
Brownie Brittle – I received a bag of Brownie Brittle in a gift box after the Google Express event earlier this week, and it’s the best stuff ever. It’s basically a brownie cookie. OMGSOGOOD!

that sit and spin! my pediatrician’s office had one! wow, i hadn’t thought about that in a while 🙂
Haven’t tried the brownie brittle but the brownie pretzel bites from CVS are amazing! Favorite toy growing up was my record player.
My favorite toy still has a special place in my room: a stuffed gray dog I named Toto (MASSIVE Wizard of Oz fan here). I don’t remember getting him, but apparently some nuns were handing them out at this production of Cinderella that the Omaha Children’s Theatre was putting on, and the ugly stepsisters were played by hairy men? I honestly wish I could remember this. it sounds awesome. 🙂 But Toto and I have been together ever since.
That Sit ‘n Spin brings me back!! Totally forgot about those things!
I’m so glad you shared that 30 Day Declutter Challenge list! It came at the perfect timing before baby comes… Totally jumping on it!
I have never tried zucchini fries, but oh my goodness those look so good!!
The skip it and pogo ball were my favorite toys growing up. I’ve never tried the brittle, but now I’m dying to get my hands on it. Yum! This week I’m loving your stroller workouts!! We’ve done two so far this week!
I loved those as well!! So glad you’re loving the stroller workouts!
Oh I love that decluttering challenge!! I’ve been moving quite frequently for the past few years and that’s always a good opportunity to declutter… but now I’ve been in one place for 6+ months and I’m feeling the urge to get rid of stuff again! 🙂
Favorite toy hands down was Barbie! Between my sister and I we had like 15 barbies and we would play for hours with them together!
I tried the brownie brittle back in January. The Boston Wine expo was giving out bags, my sister and I took a handful home (each, hahaha)…they didn’t last long, eek! I have yet to buy a bag due to my lack of self control
Care Bears were one of my faves growing up! I think my mom still has them for when I have kids.
Brownie brittle sounds AMAZING!!!
I loved that giant ball with the handle you hopped on. I can’t remember the name.
Brownie brittle is dangerously delicious. I can’t risk buying it again bc last time I ate it all. In a couple of days. In a day. Ok in a sitting….sue me 😉
That brownie brittle is addicting! And so is Target.. Thanks for sharing!
Oh love the Target link! I totally just signed up to receive a sample too 🙂 It was a frizzy hair product and I live in flipping humid Florida so it’s perfect!
I love baked zucchini fries! So good! I need to save money at Target. That place gets me every time!
Great links! Definitely going to use some of those Target tricks, and I could stand to do the 30 day declutter challenge
I 100% need brownie brittle ASAP.
My BFF is expecting her first and is so nervous…I just sent her that “dear crappy parent!”
The one that comes to mind right now is Skip-it! Omg I loved that toy!! I played for hours in the driveway.
I loved the sit & spin! We never had one at our house as kids, but our cousins did – I remember it being a hot commodity whenever we went to their house to play : )
Brownie Brittle is AMAZING!!!!!! That is all 🙂
We totally had a sit-n-spin growing up but my favorite toys were the Fisher Price little people. We would set them up the houses, school, farm, etc all over the living room and play for hours. And those zucchini fries look delicious! I totally need to try them! I feel like I eat zucchini almost every night of the week between grilled vegetables, and zucchini noodles, but I’m not complaining!
I’ve never had the brownie brittle, but I have had the cookie brittle. If it’s anything like the cookie brittle the I need it in my in my life!
Brownie Brittle is AH-MAZING. I’ve had the caramel flavor and mint. Both are great alone or mixed in with stuff.
Bought the brownie pretzels from CVS yesterday and can’t wait to open them! I’m saving them for my trip this weekend 😀
I need to try the caramel!!
I used to have a sit n spin… all you needed back then for entertainment were some simple blocks and this thing. Nowadays its not surprising to see 3 year olds with their own iPads ;D!
I’ve never tried Brownie Brittle but I eye it every time I’m at the grocery store. One of these days I just know I’ll cave in!
I have not tried the brittle, but it sounds AMAZING! I’ve seen it, and now I’m just going to finally have to take the plunge;) I loved my Maple Town (anyone remember those little furry friends?) and my American Girl doll!
That Brownie Brittle looks so good, I have to try it! My favorite toy growing up was anything that had to do with babydolls – I just loved playing ‘mom’! Glad I found your blog!
I loved Jazzy Jewelry Kits. Not sure if they exist anymore! But really I just loved anything i could build. Lego was the best!
Tried Brownie Brittle after I ran the Pheonix Marathon and it was pretty darn good!
Oh my goodness…crying at my desk this morning reading the Dear Crappy parent post.
Brownie brittle is amazing! We get free food at Bloomberg and that is one of the snacks that they have! Huge perk, along with ice-cream Friday’s in the summer 😉
They were giving out big bags of Brownie Brittle at the Boston Wine Expo. After drinking wine all day my bag didn’t exactly survive the ride home;-)
Lincoln logs or my play kitchen! I need to try brownie brittle. Maybe sandwich them with peanut butter or frosting…
Loved the “Dear Crappy Parent” article–especially the twist at the end. 🙂
Yes! SO GOOD!
