What I’m Loving Lately VIII

Good morning and happy Thursday!

Here’s another edition of What I’m Loving Lately!

Baby clothes from my shower

Obviously, I know clothes for little girls are absolutely adorable””the bows, ruffles, and frills””but I never knew baby clothes for little boys could be so darn cute. That said, here are some favorites from my shower”

Pug high tops!! I honestly can’t get over these. Baby Haupert is going to wear them all the time!

Whale shorts!

And an anchor bowtie! Oh, so preppy.

PJs with monster feet! Baby H. also got PJs with sharks on them! So cool.

For some reason this stripped tank top outfit reminds me of something Mal would wear”¦ well, not a one-piece with a turtle and caterpillar on the front, but the tank top and stripes remind me of Mal’s summer clothing.

Onesie with a tie and elbow pads!

Ridiculously cute, right? And there are so many other adorable things he received too. Cute overload for sure!

Ibotta

Have you heard about Ibotta? If not, it’s AWESOME! It’s basically an app that gives cash when you shop. Once you download it onto your smartphone or tablet, you earn money by unlocking rebates by completing little tasks, like learning a fact or playing trivia. (They take like 10 seconds to complete.) You can also redeem coupons and offers after you go shopping. For instance, if the store is an Ibotta Preferred Partner, such as Target, Whole Foods, and CVS just to name a few (there are TONS of grocery stores on the list), you can scan your receipt or loyalty card and earn cash that way too. IT IS AWESOME!!!

The best part about Ibotta is that you earn real money, not points or anything like that. 100% of your earnings can be transferred to PayPal or Venmo as soon as you’ve earned $5. If you’d like a gift card instead, you can start cashing out as soon as you’ve earned $2. Definitely sign up for Ibotta if you are into savvy shopping and saving money!

These Awesome Kid Answers

I saw this on Facebook the other day and found it quite amusing, so I just had to share it on CNC. I also thought the teachers might really enjoy it!

Carrot Cake Soufflé Pancakes

I made a batch of these Carrot Cake Soufflé Pancakes over the weekend for Mal and me and, woah, I forgot how amazing they are. We actually didn’t have any carrots, so the pancakes ended up being plain soufflé pancakes, but the recipe is still incredible. Definitely whip up a batch of these if you’re in the mood for something special this weekend!

Cucumber Dill Boats

I created this snack for The Laughing Cow, and I have been eating it non-stop lately. Just use a grapefruit spoon to scoop out the flesh of a mini cucumber, spread your favorite kind of cheese from The Laughing Cow inside, and top with fresh dill, salt, and pepper. I love how light, cheesy, and delicious it tastes. It reminds me of summer!

Leftover cupcakes

My sister sent me home with about 10 leftover cupcakes after my shower, and I’ve eaten one (sometimes two) every day since Sunday. It’s a good thing Baby Haupert loves cupcakes too!

Questions of the Day

Ever heard of Ibotta?

Pancakes or waffles?

Is there anything better than adorable baby clothes and too many leftover cupcakes?

  1. Those cucumber dill boats look delicious!! I’ll have to try them. But oh my gosh…that pancake…I”m dying. I definitely like pancakes more than waffles. I may have to make some this weekend.

  2. Recently I’ve been into pancakes more, but waffles are also delicious. I guess it depends on what I’m in the mood for, but I’m definitely going to try my hand at your souffle pancakes!

  3. Who doesn’t love leftover cupcakes? It’s my birthday today but I celebrated with my parents last night and they sent me home with a few leftover cupcakes. Honestly, I was VERY tempted to have one for breakfast”¦ 🙂

  4. Pancakes but only because waffles are unheard of here and I can’t even get my hands on a waffle iron!!! Very cute baby clothes, for some reason baby shoes are just way cuter than the clothes! Think its because they’re like proper little miniatures of adult versions!

  5. I love all the clothes and the snack suggestions.

I’ve never heard of Ibotta, but it sounds like a good way to save some pennies. Maybe a way to get an someone who is a coupon cutter into a new way of saving, digitally.

  6. I think little boy clothes are equally cute as little girls, and I have a 5 month old little girl!
Those pancakes look awesome, I am going to make them this weekend!

  7. How much wear did you get out of your low panel Old Navy maternity jeans? I got some yesterday but am wondering if I should have gone on with the full panel even though they were a little big (I’m 21 weeks) at this point. Do you recommend one over the other? Thanks so much!!

    1. I love the low panel and wear them all the time! The full panel are the worst pants ever, and I wish I didn’t waste my money on them. They do not stay up!

      1. @Tina: Just wanted to chime in. I’m due the day after Tina, and I feel the exact opposite – LOVE the full panel, hate the low panel (Old Navy brand). The low just seems to hit me in an uncomfortable spot, and I like how the full seems to “hold” you in haha! Just goes to show how each pregnancy is different@

  8. Where do they sell pug high tops for adults!? 😉

I’d have to say waffles over pancakes, although they’re both so delicious!!

  9. I downloaded Ibotta – thanks for the tip! Pancakes always win for me, hands down. Or German pancakes, which are still pancakes, but not quite the same as a regular pancake. Oh, now I’m going to have to make German pancakes this weekend. I haven’t had them in years….

  10. I haven’t hear of Ibotta but it sounds awesome. I also really love the idea of those cucumber boats and the soufflé pancakes sound amazing! Also, that cupcake looks soooo good 🙂

  11. So many great things in this post, Tina! I never heard of Ibotta before, but plan on checking it out now. Who doesn’t want to earn real money as they shop?!?! I love the baby boy outfits and can’t wait to try your pancake recipe! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  12. Oh. My. God. Those sneakers!!! I can’t even deal with their cuteness lol.
I think I’m going to have to check out Ibotta. I’m at the CVS by my work at least twice a week, so I spend a ton of money there. Might as well get paid for it lol.
I think I’d have to go with pancakes, even though I’ve been really into Van’s waffles lately. I can eat gluten, but these are just so tasty!

  13. I have heard of Ibotta, but I haven’t tried it out yet. Those clothes are adorable! Why is it that everything miniature is just so cute? I used to be only a waffle girl, but now I’m not so discriminating since I so rarely get to eat either unless they’re gluten free!

  14. absolutely nothing is cute than baby boy clothes – I went shopping for my boy also due in early June and picked up a red lumberjack flannel button down. I cannot take the cute!!

  15. I just saw and ad for ibotta at my grocery store so I downloaded it but I haven’t used it yet. Do you use at the store when you check out or is scanning your receipt the same thing?

  16. I love BOTH pancakes and waffles! But perhaps pancakes more as we don’t own a waffle iron yet…gotta get on that! And YOU are the reason I adore laughing cow now! I honestly didn’t ever use it until recently, and now the cucumber boats, mind BLOWN. Can’t wait to have those as my after-work snack tonight!
