Hi, friends! Happy FRIDAY! How’s it going??

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these What I’m Loving Lately posts, so I figured it was time for another. Here’s what I’m loving lately! Enjoy!

Serial – Ahhhhh! Season 2! I’m just as obsessed as I was during Season 1! If you haven’t listened to Serial yet (it’s a free podcast), GET ON IT!!

Make your own fake snow – This is such a great idea for kids! It only requires two ingredients and rumor has it that it’s not messy to clean up.

We Count Our Blessings Canvas – I just bought this personalized canvas the other day for our home. I instantly loved the message and just had to have it. It makes me smile every time I walk by it.

Where To Find The Best Christmas Light Displays On The South Shore – For the local readers! We’re definitely going to check some of these out this weekend!

Ebates – I’ve blogged about Ebates a bunch in the past, but I’m especially loving it right now with all of the online shopping that I am doing for the holidays. It’s truly cash back in your pocket! Free money, people!

Why Some People Sweat a Lot More Than Others – As someone who sweats buckets, I thought this was really interesting!

Paper crane mobile – My friend Erin came to visit with her son on Wednesday and gave Quinn a gorgeous paper crane mobile that she made herself because she knows how much he loves birds. It was so incredibly thoughtful, and Quinn thought it was the coolest thing ever! It’s so pretty, right?

Heidi Klum Smooth Seamless T-Shirt Bra – I usually have trouble finding bras that fit, so was super psyched to find this one at TJMaxx the other day. It’s so comfy (not padded), and I love that you can wear it under sheer tops and t-shirts.

Classic Sheffield Watch – The folks at Daniel Wellington recently reached out to me about reviewing one of their watches, and I immediately fell in love with the Classic Sheffield. It’s such a beautiful watch and goes with everything. I’ve worn in non-stop since receiving it a few weeks ago. And Daniel Wellington is offering you guys 15% off with code CARROTSNCAKE and free shipping worldwide. The code is valid from today until January 15, 2016.

RunningI profess my love for running over on the Brooks Running blog. Please check it out!

Rice bowls – I’m basically living on rice bowls (and Mama Pea’s Mmm Sauce – I made a huge batch and froze it) nowadays. They’re so versatile, so it’s never the same thing twice!

Gift cards from Stitch Fix – As you guys probably know, I lovvveee Stitch Fix, so I bought a few gift cards as Christmas gifts, and I can’t wait to give them!

These genius dad hacks – So funny!!

New Andalou products – I’m a die-hard Andalou Naturals fan (here’s why + why I love my skin care routine), so when I recently tried two new products, I couldn’t wait to tell you guys about them. Again, I have no affiliation with the brand; I just really love their products because they work well, are made from organic and natural ingredients, and are really affordable. The first one is Andalou Naturals Clear Overnight Recovery Cream, which is basically an all-star overnight cream, especially if you deal with breakouts and hyperpigmentation. The second one is Andalou Naturals Acai + White Tea Moisturizer, which is great for all skins types. It’s a nice lightweight cream with lots of antioxidants.

Question of the Day

What are you loving lately?

Are you listening to season 2 of Serial? Did you listen to season 1?

  1. Putting the Andalou overnight cream on my shopping list immediately! My complexion has been all over the map since I stopped taking hormonal birth control this fall; and since I never needed much help with it before, I have no idea what products work!

  2. Apparently I’m SUPER behind on this Serial thing, I just started Season 1 last week. I’m glad though because waiting for the next episode sucks, right now I’m in the on demand hoarder mode. I’m loving Christmas stuff, now 30% off… it’s only going to go down from here!

  3. I was so excited to see that Serial is back for another season! Tomorrow we’re flying to Florida to spend Christmas with my in-laws so I saved up the 2 episodes that have been released so that I can listen to them on the plane. Can’t wait!!

  4. OMG Serial! Yes! I just started listening to the second episode of Season 2. I listened to season 1 during a lot of my half marathon training runs last year. It’s so addicting!!!

  5. I love Serial! If you’re interested in other podcasts, you might like Limetown. Similar feel and super intense! They just did the first season “finale” so it’s a great time to binge listen!

  6. I haven’t started season 2 of Serial yet but I loved season 1. We binge-listened once all episodes were out on a long road trip, so I kind of want to save season 2 and do that again. It is so addicting!

  7. My co-worker was just talking about Serial this week and recommended I listen. Guess I will start with season 1!

I’m into coloring books right now. At night instead of being on my phone, I’m coloring and its relaxing! love it!

  8. Such a sweet ode to running on the Brooks site! Nicely done.

I love Serial and so many other podcasts — they’re how I stay busy during my commute, trips to the park with my dog, while cleaning the house, etc. Love them!

  9. Hi Tina! Happy Friday! I haven’t actually listened to Serial before, but my friend works at Pandora and said Serial 2 is available on Pandora now. How about that? I may tune in to get up to speed and see what everyone is talking about. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

  10. I’ll be honest, I’ve read other articles like your running article and WISH I could love running. Did you always? Did you hate it and then something “clicked”, like I’ve heard countless runners say? I read countless blogs, articles, etc. of people who talk about how much running does for them not only physically, but mentally as well. I want to want to run. 🙂

      1. @Tina: I think I hit a wall sooner than most to where it’s just hard to keep going. I feel like at least the first few miles should be effortless, but after about 15 minutes, it takes a lot of effort to enjoy it and I’m counting down to when I’m done… 🙁

        1. I totally hear ya! Maybe you just need to get into a groove? It usually takes me 2-3 miles to really feel good during a longer run. That first mile is always a rough one for me. Also, where are you running? I find it so much easier to go for longer when I’m outside and not on the treadmill. The changing scenery seems to distract me!

  11. I’m actually not as invested this year in Serial, but that’s my own fault. I was OBSESSED (and still kind of am) with the first season.
Who do you think did it?? I have to know! It frustrates me so much, and the whole podcast is an amazing production.

    Happy Friday, Tina! 🙂

  12. That’s really interesting about sweating. I also feel like I sweat more than the average person. I guess that just means we’re both in really good shape! 🙂

Also, Ebates is amazing – I’ve done most of my Christmas shopping online this year, and it’s great to get a little back!

  13. Serial 2 has me HOOKED! Beyond hooked! I wish it was like Netflix and released all at once! I sent my husband a text the other night that said “not calling on my way home I’m listening to serial” he sent a picture of his phone back to me. He was listening to it too! Nerds!

  14. Wow, it’s been a long while since I’ve had a brown rice or quinoa bowl, but it sounds amazing. I think I need to get on that tomorrow night! I think one of our sauces from Oo Mommie – a small local Denver company that I love – would be perfect in a rice bowl.

  15. Could you post the recipes for different rice bowls that you have been making. I sometimes put chicken and vegetables over rice and mix in some hummus for flavor it’s yummy but gets old. Thanks!!

  16. Need to ask! You have posted a bunch on this “Mmmm Sauce”….. what is this deliciousness that I am missing out on?? Is there a recipe already on the web or is this your own sauce? I am always on the lookout for fun, new sauces!

    1. It’s a recipe from a blog that doesn’t exist anymore, but it’s still on the web in a few places. Just google Mama Pea’s Mmm Sauce for the recipe!
