Good morning and happy Monday!
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you might have already heard the big news: We bought a new house!!
We closed on Friday (both on our old house and new house), so it’s been a crazy few days for us. We’re settling in nicely to our new house, and I’ll be sure to share all of the details soon, but, in the meantime, here are some scenes from the move!
Thursday morning before the movers arrived…
One of the movers said he was surprised how much stuff we had crammed into our little house. Haha!
We stayed overnight in our old house… Lime Leaf for dinner (obviously), Quinn in a Pack ‘N’ Play (ours got put into the truck), and Mal and me (and Murphy) on an air mattress. (I felt like I was on a raft all night!)
Friday morning…
Oh, how we loved this house. So many wonderful memories.
Goodbye, Pine Circle!
I know Murphy was especially sad to say goodbye to the neighborhood. We took so many wonderful walks together over the years.
We had a couple of hours to kill before we closed on our new house, so we dropped Murphy off at a friends’ house and then got breakfast at Strawberry Fair.
Closing time!
Time to move into our new house!
The first meal in our new house…
The first breakfast in our new house…
The first visitor to our new house was Papi. We took him out to lunch at the Scarlet Oak Tavern.
Breakfast on Sunday morning…
That’s it for now. More posts to come!

Question of the Day
How many different places have you lived?
Mal, Murphy, and I have lived in 5 different places since 2007.
Wow! I’ve never done the math before. My husband and I move in to our new home this Friday. This will be the “NINTH” time I’ve moved since college. (Please don’t make me count my college moves).
PS – The new house has all wood floors. Yours always look great. Advise please!!! What do you use?
Congratulations! SO exciting!
Congrats on the new house! SO exciting for all of you!!! 🙂
Congrats on the new house! I’ve lived in just 2 houses, at college in a dorm, and now in an apartment but hope to have my own house one day that I can decorate up a storm to my tastes!
Yay!!! Congrats!! It looks beautiful!

Congrats on the new house! My husband and I have lived in 6 different houses/apts since 2010. We’ve moved around a lot the past few years but hopefully are staying in FL for a while!
How wonderful! Congrats!!!!
Congrats what a crazy busy but exciting weekend!
Congratulations on the new house! How exciting! I can’t wait to see all your finishing touches…eventually. 🙂 As for times we’ve moved: Since 2003 I’ve lived in NINE places, not including summers. I need to get my life together. Ha!
Congrats on the new house!! Can’t wait for more details 🙂
How exciting! I love the photo of Q sitting in his booster seat on the floor. What a cutie!
Congrats on the new house! Can’t wait to see more pics. I’ve moved twice in two years and will be moving again in October… its actually very strange because I lived in the same town in Ohio from birth until age 31 (with a 2 year intermission in a dorm at college), then moved to North Carolina for a year and now live in the Columbus, OH area. I plan to stay there for a long time, hopefully!
Congrats! I can’t wait to see more pics of the new house. Poor murph looks so sad to leave!
Awww… 🙂 Murphy does actually look sad. And pizza is a perfect moving meal.
Yay for moving into your new house!!!
Congrats Tina!! What a crazy exciting year you have had!
Congratulations! Can’t wait for the home tour, the little peak of the kitchen/dining and yard look beautiful! So exciting, many new fun memories to be shared in this house!
Congratulations on the new house! 🙂
Pizza and wine and everything’s fine!!
So glad for you all….can’t wait to see what adventures you have in your new place.
Congrats on the new home! And congrats on getting the timing of selling and buying so spot on! I’m not big on moving – I’m almost 30 but I’ve only lived 4 different places, all in Southern California. 🙂
Congratulations!!!! I totally understand all the moving! We have been married for 6 years and have lived in 4 houses on 3 different continents. <—-so crazy!
Seriously Mal and Quinn are so adorable. How nice that you’ll have more space in your new place! Congratulations! 🙂
Congrats on the new house! It looks so lush and green, from what I can see ;).
I am a super minimal mover. I lived in my family home in NJ from birth right up until college, when I moved to CT for college for 4 years. After college I moved back to my family home in NJ for 2 years, then for the past 3 have been back in CT with my now fiance! I would really like to move again, but want the next one to be to a house (been renting an apartment), and we both sort of want the house to be in MA so that would be a big move (new jobs and all). So, we’ll see when it happens!
Here we go:
PA > DE > Philadelphia > Istanbul, Turkey > Philadelphia (4 different apartments) > Denver (4 different apartments)…hopefully done for awhile!!
Wow! Huge congratulations! And to close on both houses on the same day?! Amazing!
Congrats! How exciting!
Congrats! What a fun (and busy) adventure!
Wow, congrats to you guys!! How exciting! And how cool that you closed on both houses in the same day?
We just moved last month into our first home, and it’s so fun to be homeowners. I love it!
I’m actually visiting Boulder right now, and I swung by Celestial Seasonings. Their tour was so cool! 🙂
Wow! Congrats on the new place! We just moved last year (and I’m still kind of sad about it), and going through my Facebook Timehop has brought me almost to tears a few times. But good luck on making your new house your home!
Oh man I have lived in so many places! In college alone I moved five times! But I’ve lived in Mexico, Spring Valley, El Cajon, San Luis Obispo, Walnut Creek, Fresno, San Diego.
Awesome, congratulations!! it looks like a huge beautiful house!
