Weekend In Numbers

Hey, friends! Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Did it snow where you are? We were *supposed* to get a huge snow storm, but we ended up barely getting anything after all of the hype. And, of course, I am especially thankful for that. After last winter, I am so over snow for awhile! Anyway, we had a nice weekend over here, and I am going to recap it in numbers!

Minutes of toddler snuggle time on Friday afternoon (it was glorious): 25

The brand sent me some of their salads last week, and I am truly obsessed. They are legit salads with made with organic and interesting ingredients”” meaning they’re not your usual romaine lettuce/grape tomato/red onion/cucumber salads. They’re made with seriously nutritious ingredients (many of them are superfoods), so they’re packed with omega-3s, antioxidants, and plenty of plant-based proteins. (Some of their salads include Non-GMO Project-verified chicken too!) Here’s just a sampling of some of the ingredients: Aronia Berries, Cacao Nibs, Sorghum, Chia Seeds, Red Azuki Beans, Goji Berries, Cashews, Wheatberries, and Quinoa.

Ok, since I’m on a roll here, I also want to tell you that the ElevAte salad dressings are incredible. They’re light and flavorful, and there’s just the right amount, so it adds a little something-something to your salad, but doesn’t drench it either. And, finally, there are 8 different salad recipes, so you always have a delicious option to try! One more thing: The Caesar Vinaigrette and Creamy Honey Mustard Dressing on the Spinach-Pow salad are both to die for!! OMG.

  1. You are amazing, 140 push-ups?! That’s impressive. One is my number; one date night, one glass of wine, one workout and one first haircut for my little guy.

  2. Quinn’s need to touch everything is adorable. I love the little finger in each picture! I was actually a fairly nice weather weekend in Chicago–20s and low 30s. I will sooooo take it!

  3. Nice job on the CrossFit exercises! This weekend:

    loads of laundry completed: 5
    Miles ran: 4
    Strength Workout: 1
and *half* of a library book devoured. 🙂

  4. Inches of snow in rural Maryland: 36!! I know what you felt like last winter! Hoping so much that we don’t get more on top of this.

Days stuck inside with very stir crazy toddler: 3 and counting. OMG girlfriend needs a change of scenery but the snow is taller than she is.

BUT, quality time spent with her and husband: not enough!

Glad you had a good weekend! Quinn is still a pretty adventurous eater, that’s awesome!

  5. Awww! Let’s see:
minute spent holding my friends newborn: 20
    hours with Grandma: 4
miles ran for my taper: 6.5
    meal prep meals made: 10
    snacks consumed with friends: 2
minutes it took the cards to lose their chances at the superbowl: 10

I think that is about it!

  6. Quinn is too cute! Glad to see I’m not the only one with a toddler who cant.stop.touching.EVERYTHING! Did he have his first haircut? (I feel like you posted about it, but I forget). My boy still doesn’t have enough hair for a haircut yet, and he’s almost 19 months. Our big number for the weekend was 18 inches of snow!

  7. Number of times I ate tacos in a 7 hour timeframe: 2! We had a delicious birthday dinner for my friend at Barrio in Seattle (duck tacos = OMGbecky) and after waaaay too much dancing at a club, we grabbed more tacos from a random shop we passed.

  8. My little one weekend in numbers : 1 swimming lesson, 1 visit to a fun indoor play space, 10 slide rides with mommy, 1 fall on the head :(, 3 bananas consumed, 3 hours nap both Saturday and Sunday (this was glorious!), plenty of hugs to mommy :)

  9. That’s crazy on the pull-ups. I am trying to get my first one. How long did it take before you were able to do them? What sorts of progressions did you find the most helpful while you were either trying to achieve the pull-up or get stronger at them?

  10. Love this approach! Here’s mine: Minutes spent hiking-150, hours spent sleeping last night- 9 (omg!), episodes watched of chelsea handler’s new show on netflix- 3

  11. OMG so many pull-ups and push-ups!! You’re such an inspiration! I did 50 pull-ups (and 50 65 lb squats, 50 box jumps and 50 ring rows – see a theme?) on Saturday, and my chest was sooo sore yesterday!

(50 is also probably the number of chocolate chips I consumed this weekend also – oops!)

  12. Quinn appears to be an awesome eater…wish my 3 year old was! She likes carbs and that’s about it!

By the numbers, my middle daughter’s 6th grade parochial school basketball team is undefeated, they won their 9th game on Saturday!

  13. Number of times I said, “Seriously?” Out loud while reading this post: 3
Number of times I wondered if your numbers were random: 1 (The Brie touching, did you really count that? So cute!)

  14. Woo hoo!! You smoked Saturday’s workout – great job! This weekend in numbers – my boyfriend and I did 3 “projects” by breaking out the dehydrator for apple and kiwi chips, used the KitchenAid ice cream maker attachment to make mint chocolate chip ice cream, and made waffles with our new waffle maker! We had a pretty yummy weekend.

And cute story and pictures of Q with the brie 🙂

  15. 7 nights in Tamarindo with 8 friends, and one amazing fiancé who took care of a very sick me . Who else would get sick on vacation?!
