Hey, hey! Happy Friday, guys!!

I thought having a “week in review” might be a fun way to recap our week, so here are some highlights from the past few days!

I recapped MONDAY in a Day In the Life post, so you can see all of the details there!

I worked like a mad woman on TUESDAY morning and then went to a doctor’s appointment before picking up Quinn from daycare. I wore my Favorite Ankle-Length Skinny Jeans ($7.80) to my appointment.

For dinner that night, I ate THE BEST rice bowl made with roasted butternut squash, edamame, broccoli, and Mama Pea’s “Mmm Sauce.” It was seriously so good. I ate it for lunch the next day too!

That night, I watched this MOM HACKS video that includes some awesome grocery shopping ideas, especially when it comes to shopping with kids! I also learned that you can restore the bubbles in champagne with a raisin!

WEDNESDAY was Veteran’s Day, so Mal had the day off from school. We had a leisurely morning that included the lightest, fluffiest, and most cake-like pancakes ever for breakfast. Quinn (and Murphy) helped make them!

It was rainy and gloomy outside, so we stayed in our PJs and played the morning away.

That afternoon, I drove into Boston with my friend Kerrie for a SoulCycle class at their new Back Bay location. It was hosted by DRINKmaple and, of course, the class was SO FUN. SoulCycle is one of my favorite ways to break a sweat!

THURSDAY morning was ALL work, but I took a break for the noon class at CrossFit South Shore. The workout was a good ol’ chipper with lots of different movements– my favorite kind! I used 85 pounds for the barbell stuff and my arms felt like Jello by the end. It was a “fun” one for sure!

Speaking of CrossFit, my box is hosting a Crossfit Handstand & Gymnastics Clinic next weekend (November 21st). Details here!

For dinner, I made an epic pasta dish with roasted chickpeas and a yummy green sauce made from marinated artichokes, spinach, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. I’ve actually made this sauce a few times now, so I’ll post the recipe on CNC next week. It’s a good one!

Last night, I read this article about The Most Common Nutrition Mistakes. Sometimes these pieces are kind of lame, but this one was quite interesting!

On the agenda for FRIDAY is a trip to YMCA for swim class with Quinn followed by an afternoon doctor’s appointment (a recheck for Quinn’s recent ear infection). Tonight, our babysitter is coming over, so Mal and I can go out to dinner together. Yay, date night!

Happy weekend, friends!
