It’s crazy to think that when we were in Newport this time last year, I was about 6 weeks pregnant. The morning sickness, aversions (coffee!), and hunger had just started to set in, but we didn’t plan to tell anyone about my pregnancy yet””not even my in-laws. Even still, I think they were onto us. I turned down wine and pumpkin beer, and I woke up in the middle of the night and ate a container of my mother-in-law’s yogurt, which, at the time, was kind of a weird behavior for me. (Obviously, not anymore! I eat cereal like every night. Haha!)
FYI: My jacket is from Stitch Fix! The brand is Market & Spruce.
Anyway, we’re in Newport, Rhode Island for the weekend with my in-laws once again for our annual trip. I truly look forward to this weekend all year long. It’s my very favorite.
Mal and I were awake with Quinn bright and early this morning, so we popped into Mokka Coffeehouse for iced coffees.
I love this little coffeehouse. The staff is always so friendly and the iced coffee (cold brew!) is delicious. I ordered mine with soy milk this morning.
A short while later, we met my in-laws for breakfast at Ocean Breeze Café, which is one of our yearly traditions.
I always order the same breakfast: a huge-ass grilled muffin with a fruit cup and a couple of eggs. Perfect.
After breakfast, we hit up Baby Gap for some shopping. We bought Quinn so many cute things, including the adorable outfit below. He’s going to be such a stylish little dude!
On the walk home, we stopped by Starbucks for iced coffee #2 of the day. I went with a decaf with soy milk and one pump of pumpkin syrup. It was a little too sweet for my liking (I drank it anyway), so next time, I’ll order it with 1/2 a pump. Those baristas get a little syrup happy sometimes!
Then, we walked home and now I am doing a little work while our peanut naps.
More Newport adventures to come!
