Somehow, I am sick again. (WTF? Twice in less than a month?!) I feel like crap and I’m running a fever of 101.1 degrees. 😕
Despite feeling terrible, Mal and I managed to accomplish everything on our To Do list for the day, so hooray for that! 😀
Our first stop of the day was City Sports to pick up our numbers and chips for the Chilly Half Marathon, which is bright and early tomorrow morning. (As of right now, I’m still planning to run it. But, we’ll see how I feel in the morning.)
I love the long sleeve running shirts for the Chilly Half!
Mal and I bought a few things at City Sports (i.e. Gu, spandex pants) and then headed down to IKEA to get our shop on. We had a huge list of things to buy and spent a solid two hours there.
On our list:
- Area rug
- Bath mats
- Trash cans
- Sheets
- Duvet covers
- Lamp shades
- Pillow covers
- Drawer organizers
- Arm chair
I felt like we bought one of everything at IKEA!
The arm chair that we purchased didn’t fit in the back of Mal’s car, so we had to remove it from the box.
Thankfully, it fit!
Just barely! 😉
Then, we made a quick stop at Home Depot before heading home to unload the car and let the pug stretch his little doggie legs.
At home, I took Murphy for a walk around the block while Mal headed to the grocery store to do our shopping for the week. Divide and conquer, baby.
Then, we hopped back into the car and drove to our old apartment to grab the kitchen table that the movers forgot to load into the truck. Boo. I have no idea how it got left behind.
At this point in the day, Mal and I were both famished! We hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast, so we popped into Bruegger’s for bagel sandwiches.
I went with ham + Swiss cheese on a rosemary bagel with lettuce, tomato, pickles, cucumber, mayo, and sprouts.
Food never tasted so good! It actually made me feel a little bit better too.
At Bruegger’s, I left a CNC business card on the bulletin. Free marketing, right? 😉
Now, we’re home and I’m taking it easy for the rest of the night. Unpacking and organizing will have to wait for now. Our house is still in shambles, but it’s slowing coming together.
Curling up with the pug on the couch and heading to bed early. Let’s hope for an overnight recovery!

I have that same grey rug from Ikea in my dorm room! I absolutely love it! Did you and Mal buy it for your new home?
Good luck/ feel better! 🙂
I hope you’re feeling better! This is the time of year when everyone is getting sick…blah.
Rest up and feel better! 😀
Is it because of food you’ve eaten or what? Feel better:)
Good luck at the ‘chilly’ half! Weather’s perfect!
we dont have IKEA here. It looks SO overwhelming to me! Hope you found evrything you needed.
I am seriously impressed that you did all that with a fever. When I have a fever I’m on the couch! haha. I think you were able to run the race this morning based on twitter so I hope it went well!
You are so productive even when you are sick!
I used to work in Harvard Square and oh man…I miss Brueggers!
Umm…I totally just bought that same rug at Ikea on Friday…..hilarious.
