Yep, Gordon’s was right when they said that the VinoVoyage would be THE wining and dining event of the season. It was such a blast!! A big boat, beautiful weather, copious amounts of wine, great friends… of course, it was awesome!

We boarded the luxurious “Spirit of Boston” for a 3-hour cruise around Boston Harbor.

The event started with a Graham Beck Sparkling Wine reception on the upper deck of the boat.

I partook in a couple of pours! 😉

There was also a nice spread of food and passed appetizers. I munched on a few pita chips with roasted red pepper hummus and tabouli, some cheese, a parmesan artichoke puff, and a couple of scallops wrapped in bacon. There were lots of goodies!

Lovin’ life.

A live jazz band played while we enjoyed the reception on the upper deck.

Blog buddies: Elina and Meghan!

After spending about 30 minutes at the sparkling wine reception, we headed inside to taste the 250+ wines. Well, taste some of them. I tried tasting them all last year and got my butt kick! 😕

For the wine tasting, there were tables set up all along the top and bottom levels of the boat. I liked that it wasn’t super crowded, so you didn’t have to wait to try a wine and you could talk to the wine representative. (There were a few winemakers there, too!)

The VinoVoyage also included a buffet dinner with pasta and carving stations.

I filled my plate with tri-color cheese tortellini and pesto sauce.

For dessert, there were assorted cakes and mini pastries, but I missed my chance. It was all gone by the time I got there. 😕 I guess I drank my dessert instead! 😉

The night ended with dancing… and more wine.

Fantastic event! I can’t wait for VinoVoyage III, which is rumored to set sail in September! 😀
