Minus packing up my apartment, this afternoon was pretty typical.
I took the pug for a long walk around the neighborhood.
Then, we returned home, waited for Mal, and made pizza for dinner.
There’s a lot of walking, waiting for Mal, and pizza on this blog! š
Dinner
The food situation in our kitchen is pretty sad right now, but I managed to scrounge up a sample of So Quick & Easy Whole Wheat Pizza Dough from Wildtree. All I had to do was add water and oil. Perfect.
While making the dough, I poured myself a glass of white wine. After the amount of packing that I did today, I needed it.

The So Quick & Easy Whole Wheat Pizza Dough turned out really well. I added Garlic Gold nuggets to the mix, so it had a nice garlic-y flavor to it. The texture of the crust was firm and grainy.
Mmm! I love pizza– always have, always will! š
Dinner tasted so delicious this evening, I’m seriously considering a third piece of pizza and a second glass of wine! š
Enjoy the evening! š

Too cute š Looks like most of my afternoons/evenings as well. The pizza looks super tasty. I am a big fan of thin thin crust pizza. Hope you have a great rest of your week
I think you should go for it! I’m currently on the hunt for a good pre-made whole wheat (or whole grain) thin crust pizza dough… hoping to find one on my trip to Whole Foods next weekend!
Your pizzas always look so good and give me a major craving. The last time I made pizza I used Trader Joe’s dough. It was really good.
I think that wine was a good decision. I feel like a glass is warranted for myself too. š
That pizza dough sounds like making dinner was a piece of…pie! (hehe)
i never know what kind of cheese to top home made pizza with? what is a nice compromise of healthy but not tasteless?
thanks!
I say go for it! I am craving pizza so bad lately. I need to get to making it soon! Yours looks delicious. Have a relaxing night, Tina.
There are some pizza restaurants here that will sell their dough. I’ve thought about buying some to try and make my own pie.
When moving, pizza & wine are essential!
Packing, moving, etc calls for an extra glass of wine. Enjoy! š
Pizza and wine – could there be a better combination?!
I think pizza and wine sound like the perfect ‘post packing’ meal š
What a coincidence–we made homemade pizza for dinner tonight, too!
Hope your packing is going well. When we moved into our house last year, I remember being so happy that it was the last time we’d be packing and moving for a looooooong time!
PS–I wanted to thank you for introducing me to the “banana soft serve” you posted on your blog this summer (frozen bananas in the food processor). I made it for the first time this weekend and I’ve made a bowl every night since…it’s amazing! I add a TBSP of cocoa powder to mine š Thanks so much for sharing such a neat idea.
More wine is a must!
I am a pizza freak. Mmmm. Warm and cheesy is my comfort food… pizza.. grilled cheese.. mac n cheese =)
@jen – try something really flavorful so you don’t have to max it out, such as romano or asiago w/ some parmesan, or a greek inspired pizza with feta, or tina’s fig + gorgonzola pizza! Also, cabot’s reduced fat cheeses are often recommended by Shape.
We’re having a pizza tonight as well….one of my favorite foods:) Yours looks delicious, I love the green bell pepper rings, so festive! Have a great night!
I love pepper rounds, they look so pretty.
The pizza looks great! I’d say go for more and that second glass of wine š
Hmmmm…. now I want pizza and a glass of wine š
YUM! I need to make pizza for dinner again soon. First, it needs to COOL off a little!? was 100* today :O
Looks like a pretty good dinner for a limited kitchen! Whole wheat pizza dough is the best!
Packing deserves an entire bottle of wine!!! Seriously packing might be the worst thing ever! If I never do it again it won’t be too soon!!!
I do love pizza also, as long as it’s the healthy kind and not the really greasy kind.
that pizza looks great, i’ve never thought to use a box mix for crust before!
I love pizza! I honestly feel like I could eat it almost every day (at least every week). I like homemade pizzas because I can experiment with toppings without paying a lot of money. Happy packing!
Craving pizza now… yum!
I love pizza as a quick, easy weeknight meal. It’s not on the menu this week but will probably make an appearance next.
That pizza is really pretty. Isn’t it funny how something so simple can turn out so pretty?
I don’t want pizza now, but I do want to open the bottle of red sitting on my counter…a little too late for that, I’m afraid.
mmm pizza is so delicious and warm, a perfect fall meal!!! i wish i had your schedule…i’m stuck on my butt for 12 hrs at work ugh.
I love how colourful your pizzas always are! Puts the local Dominos to shame š
oh a glass of white wine and a slice of pizza sound so good right now! it would making studying for my exam a little less painful š
Pizza, a walk with the dog. Sounds like the perfect afternoon to me!
i like the sound of that pizza dough! glad you had a pretty mellow night.
For an apartment that’s all packed up, that’s an impressive dinner to whip together. I almost never make pizza, but I should change that. My Mom used to get dough from Bertucci’s and my Dad now makes homemade dough all the time. I just have to be careful not to go too crazy on the cheese. That’s obviously my favorite part…
Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm. That pizza looks so good! I should make pizza more often!
Pizza is my all time favorite meal…great choice š You always have so many different, tasty varieties of pizza! I never get tired of it!
Glad you got to relax a bit and enjoy a nice dinner! š
That pizza dough sounds perfect! I always crave homemade pizza dough instead of just making my pizzas on pitas, but I’m too lazy to actually make it from scratch.
I hope you enjoyed a relaxing evening! š
Oh that pizza looks so good I crave some- even though I’m eating breakfast right now!
With all that packing you deserve as much pizza and wine as you wish š
Mmmm pizzzzzza š what a perfect meal! That dough looks awesome, I wish they had it in Canada!
Have you started any work on furniture overhauling yet? Or just trying to finish up packing?
I’m so excited for you! I love seeing all the moving and new house photos. š
tina, can you read my mind? how did you know that this dinner is exactly what i want for breakfast?! š
@Ashley: We haven’t had time. We’ve been packing and painting.
That looks a lot like a pizza I made recently. Well done. And definitely agree that whole wheat pizza dough is the right way to go!
Looks good. I made a really similar pizza recent – whole wheat is the way to go!
Pizza !!!!!I can eat it all day and you know what,I loveeeeeeee garlic..What else do I want…
Great site. A lot of useful information here. I’m sending it to some friends!
It was great to read tis post!
