Minus packing up my apartment, this afternoon was pretty typical.

I took the pug for a long walk around the neighborhood.

Then, we returned home, waited for Mal, and made pizza for dinner.

There’s a lot of walking, waiting for Mal, and pizza on this blog! šŸ˜‰

Dinner

The food situation in our kitchen is pretty sad right now, but I managed to scrounge up a sample of So Quick & Easy Whole Wheat Pizza Dough from Wildtree. All I had to do was add water and oil. Perfect.

While making the dough, I poured myself a glass of white wine. After the amount of packing that I did today, I needed it.

The So Quick & Easy Whole Wheat Pizza Dough turned out really well. I added Garlic Gold nuggets to the mix, so it had a nice garlic-y flavor to it. The texture of the crust was firm and grainy.

Mmm! I love pizza– always have, always will! šŸ˜€

Dinner tasted so delicious this evening, I’m seriously considering a third piece of pizza and a second glass of wine! šŸ˜‰

Enjoy the evening! šŸ˜€

  1. Too cute šŸ™‚ Looks like most of my afternoons/evenings as well. The pizza looks super tasty. I am a big fan of thin thin crust pizza. Hope you have a great rest of your week

  2. I think you should go for it! I’m currently on the hunt for a good pre-made whole wheat (or whole grain) thin crust pizza dough… hoping to find one on my trip to Whole Foods next weekend!

  3. i never know what kind of cheese to top home made pizza with? what is a nice compromise of healthy but not tasteless?

    thanks!

  4. What a coincidence–we made homemade pizza for dinner tonight, too!

Hope your packing is going well. When we moved into our house last year, I remember being so happy that it was the last time we’d be packing and moving for a looooooong time!

PS–I wanted to thank you for introducing me to the “banana soft serve” you posted on your blog this summer (frozen bananas in the food processor). I made it for the first time this weekend and I’ve made a bowl every night since…it’s amazing! I add a TBSP of cocoa powder to mine šŸ™‚ Thanks so much for sharing such a neat idea.

  5. I am a pizza freak. Mmmm. Warm and cheesy is my comfort food… pizza.. grilled cheese.. mac n cheese =)

@jen – try something really flavorful so you don’t have to max it out, such as romano or asiago w/ some parmesan, or a greek inspired pizza with feta, or tina’s fig + gorgonzola pizza! Also, cabot’s reduced fat cheeses are often recommended by Shape.

  6. Packing deserves an entire bottle of wine!!! Seriously packing might be the worst thing ever! If I never do it again it won’t be too soon!!!

  7. I love pizza! I honestly feel like I could eat it almost every day (at least every week). I like homemade pizzas because I can experiment with toppings without paying a lot of money. Happy packing!

  8. mmm pizza is so delicious and warm, a perfect fall meal!!! i wish i had your schedule…i’m stuck on my butt for 12 hrs at work ugh.

  9. For an apartment that’s all packed up, that’s an impressive dinner to whip together. I almost never make pizza, but I should change that. My Mom used to get dough from Bertucci’s and my Dad now makes homemade dough all the time. I just have to be careful not to go too crazy on the cheese. That’s obviously my favorite part…

  10. Pizza is my all time favorite meal…great choice šŸ™‚ You always have so many different, tasty varieties of pizza! I never get tired of it!

  11. Have you started any work on furniture overhauling yet? Or just trying to finish up packing?

I’m so excited for you! I love seeing all the moving and new house photos. šŸ˜€
