Twin Farms Recap {Sunday}

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading all of my posts about our weekend at Twin Farms. It was a lot of fun to write (and relive) them! Here is my final recap as well as my previous posts just in cased you missed them:

Mal and I slept in a little bit on Sunday morning. We lost an hour of sleep due to Daylight Savings Time, so we didn’t rush ourselves out of bed. Ok, well, we rushed a little bit because we were so pretty pumped for breakfast!

Breakfast started with fresh fruit.

And beverages. I enjoyed some freshly pressed cranberry-orange-ginger juice and a decaf iced almond milk latte. Mmm!

To eat, I chose the egg scramble special, which was made with caramelized onions, peppers, and sausage. It was fresh, flavorful, and fabulous.

I also shared a Carrot Cake Pancake Soufflé with Mal. It was incredibly light and fluffy, almost like a puffy, glazed donut.

After lunch, Mal and I said goodbye to Kevin, who also autographed my copy of his Windows on the World Complete Wine Course. So cool!

Then, Mal and I packed up our things and returned our key to the Main House. (It was so sad saying goodbye to the Perch Cottage! )

The nice folks at Twin Farms sent us home with a packed lunch. How sweet is that!?

Inside was a couple of smoked chicken wraps, cheese and crackers, pickles, apples, and cookies.

There was also a pretty piece of Vermont pottery inside!

Our stay at Twin Farms was absolutely incredible in so many ways, and it was one of the most amazing weekends I’ve ever had. Not surprisingly, an experience like this comes at a price, and, obviously, Twin Farms caters to a clientele with the financial means to afford such a vacation. The rates at Twin Farms are more expensive than those at your average, upscale resort, but everything is included with this price. Mal and I were guests of Twin Farms, so our stay was complimentary, but after spending the weekend there and fully experiencing everything it has to offer, I definitely think it’s worth the cost, especially for a special occasion, like a honeymoon or wedding anniversary.

Ok, you still might be thinking: That’s great and it looks like an amazing place, but it’s super expensive. I agree. I totally agree, but everything you could ever possibly want on a secluded Vermont vacation is taken care of. Once you’re at Twin Farms, you don’t have to worry about a single thing, so you can completely relax and unwind. And, if you’re a foodie and like to enjoy a few cocktails (or just really love good wine) on vacation, Twin Farms definitely pays for itself. Mal and I like to go all out when we’re on vacation, especially when it comes to eating and drinking, so if you think about a fancy dinner with an appetizer, two entrées, drinks, dessert, tax, and tip, we could easily spend a few hundred dollars. Add in breakfast, lunch, coffee, snacks, more drinks… and it really adds up. And that’s just food! Mal and I also love being active on our vacations, so we took full advantage of the outdoor activities offered at Twin Farms. All of the equipment is included, so you don’t need to spend money on rentals, lift tickets, or even gas. The activities are literally steps away. And, of course, the accommodations and other amenities are unparalleled. There are easily some of the best (if not the best) I’ve ever experienced!

All in all, Mal and I enjoyed an amazing weekend at Twin Farms. It was an experience that I am incredibly grateful for and one that I will never, ever forget. Thank you, Twin Farms, for hosting us.
