Hi, bloggies! 😎

Once again, I wrote my lunch post after breakfast this morning. Mal and I are looking at another potential apartment right after work today, so I wanted to make sure that lunch wasn’t forgotten by the wayside. Plus, I wanted to give you guys the link to my first interview/podcast!

My interview is live onΒ WebTalkRadio.net! You can also find it on iTunes– just search for “Regional Best Foods.” I think the interview went pretty well considering how nervous I was for it. I only said one or two weird things! πŸ˜‰

Good lunch today! It seemed to cover all of the nutritional bases. I’m getting better! πŸ˜‰

I started with a turkey and wasabi-horseradish cheddar cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread. Mal packed one too many sandwiches for school (he forgot about MLK Day), so I took one off of his hands for him.

On the side, I had a mix of raw veggie sticks: carrot, cucumber, and celery.

I also had a sliced kiwi and a Vega Whole Food Vibrancy Bar.

Shop, Trade, Save

Want to see what I bought at the grocery store last week? Check out my new post on Trading Up Downtown.

Up next: Working until 3:00 pm, seeing an apartment, and then heading home for dinner. No workout today, but maybe I’ll do some yoga/stretching. I feel so tight! πŸ˜•

Happy Hump Day!

  1. Just curious, how does Mal wrap his sandwiches so that they don’t get soggy sitting in the fridge for a week waiting to be eaten.

  2. mmm that kiwi looks so good! I may just have to pick a couple up at the store today! I’m going to listen to your interview now- how fun. Hope its staying warmer up there for you πŸ™‚

  3. way to incorporate the fresh veggies on the side! I always like to have some fresh crispness in the middle of the day which I get from crunch raw veggies.. yumm

  4. Hi I’m fairly new to your blog and really enjoy it! I feel like I’ve missed something. Didn’t you just move into a new apartment? Why are you moving?

  5. Lunch does look great and you got a lot of the food groups in! I loves how boys can take something I stress out about (packing lunch!) and make it into something so easy!

Good luck apt hunting! I hope you find something great.

  6. Ohhh, I should’ve picked up some kiwi for this week! I’ll check out your interview sometime today. Good luck with the apartment hunting πŸ˜€

  7. Ummmmmmm yummy lunch I so want to try one of the those vega bars but I’m not sure where to track them down in the uk! Well done on the radio interview it was nice to put voice to the face! Have a fun night x

  8. good luck with the apartment!!! what is the name of that 5k race that you signed up for in sommerville I think it was. it had a german name. I am trying to find it and cant then I remembered you signed up for it! thanks!! πŸ™‚

  9. Great interview. I don’t think there were any weird moments πŸ™‚ In response to farmers markets in Boston, Haymarket (by Gov’t Center/Union Oyster House) is open thoughout the winter. It’s not a typical “farmers market” but it is a great place to check out on a Saturday morning for super cheap fruits and veggies!

  10. That’s a great lunch – perfectly balanced πŸ™‚ Similar to mine today: sandwich with turkey, hummus, roasted peppers & arugula on ww bread, with a string cheese and an apple. It also made me too full! haha. I’ll check out the interview later. Hope you’re finding some good apt options!

  11. The interview went well, I thought! No weird answers at all! :o)

Good luck with the apartment search, and I want to let you know that your well-rounded balanced lunch is helping to inspire me to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my lunches. I’ve been lazy lately.

  12. The sandwich sounds so good– wasabi- horseradish? is this something you can purchase? (I’m in canada, we lack a lot of the yummy things I see on US based blogs, or I could just be blind in my grocery store…)
