If you missed the first two recipes in Sandwich Week, here they are:
And here’s the next sandwich recipe:Β Tuna, Tomato, and Chile Pepper! π
The star ingredients of this evening’s sandwich was a green chile pepper. It definitely added a little “heat” to the sandwich.
Ingredients:
- 2 (6-ounce) cans of chunk light tuna, drained
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can of diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 green chile pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and scoop onto the bread of your choice.
Makes 2-4 sandwiches
I liked this recipe a lot. It definitely adds a new and interesting twist to a regular ol’ tuna salad sandwich. Mal toasted and melted cheddar cheese on his sandwich, which I highly recommend! He shared a bite with me and it tasted awesome!
Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies are on the agenda for dessert! π
