Traveling Home

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots β€˜N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

I’m back in Boston!! Well, technically, I’m 45 minutes outside the city at my in-laws house, but close enough, right? πŸ˜‰ Mal and I are having dinner here and then driving back into the city to sleep in our own bed tonight. I really missed being home, but I need to gear-up for a trip to Chicago on Thursday for theΒ Healthy Living Summit!Β I’m excited for it!

My morning started with an iced soy grande latte from Starbucks in the cab on the way to Penn Station.

With all of the swag that I acquired at BlogHer, I had quite a lot of stuff to carry back to Boston. Thankfully, my husband helped me out.

At the train station, I ate a egg white + spinach + feta wrap for breakfast.

As soon as I got on the train, I passed out and slept for 2.5 hours.

My husband found it humorous that my face was smashed right up against the table. Obviously, he needed to document it with a couple of photos. He’s so sweet like that. πŸ˜‰

When I woke up, I snacked on some BBQ-flavored Pop Chips from my BlogHer swag.

Mal and I arrived home around 2:00 pm and grabbed lunch at The Fruit Center at Milton Marketplace. I hit the salad bar and made a HUGE salad. After a rather indulgent week in NYC, my body is craving nutrients and a serious detox. With lunch, I also drank an iced coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts. I’m dragging today.

Then, we drove to my mom’s house to pick up this little guy!!!

Oh, how I missed him so! Reunited at last!

Now, I am sitting by my in-laws pool working away. My inbox is a nightmare and I have so much to do. Looks like vacation is over! πŸ˜•

See ya later for dinner! I think we’re firing up the grill! πŸ˜€

P.S. Melissa is giving awayΒ Peanut Butter Puffins on her blog today. Be sure to check it out!

  1. Awe. Murphy looks so happy to see you! πŸ™‚
I just had to laugh at that photo of you with your head smashed against the table. I also get caught sleeping in weird positions…

  2. i noticed you are also a starbucks connoisseur. Do you have a starbucks card? You should get one since you love soy iced coffee and you get free customization with the card. just fyi

  3. Doesn’t it feel great to be home? That is how I felt yesterday afternoon. Traveling is a lot of fun but always takes so much out of you. Nothing like your own bed.

  4. You’re a busy lady! I am exhausted just thinking about it. I hope you get to rest a bit before taking off yet again.

And Murhpy always makes me smile! I’m happy to see him too! πŸ™‚

  5. Don’t ya love when people take pictures of you when you’re sleeping? I have a real beauty of my with my head tilted back and my mouth wide open. That was back when I was in junior high, but still! haha

  6. I wish I could sleep on transportation devices… I’m cursed with travel insomnia!
Good luck getting through your inbox… I get totally stressed when mine is overflowing. I have to categorize everything into folders and deal with it systematically or else I just go nuts! (Type A control freak here!)

  7. i love that one photo that looks like the pug is all head. so cute.

that salad looks delicious, too! i think detox sounds like a fab idea. do you do anything special when trying to make up for bad diet?

  8. LOL. My sister never fails to take advantage of me while I’m sleeping. I have the worst sleeping habits and she loves to take photos of me with my head back, mouth open, snoring or something… She says she’s saving them up for my wedding. Oh, god.

  9. First time commenter here… Love your blog! I used to spend nearly three hours a day commuting to work on a train. Needless to say I spent my fair share of time sleeping with my head pressed against the window!! Oh the memories…

  10. Awww, I’ve missed Murphy too! It’s funny how much your photos of him brighten me day. He’s so adorbale and crazy-looking at the same time πŸ˜€
