And”¦ October flies by just like that! What a crazy-awesome month it was! That said, here are my favorite posts from October!
Runner’s World Festival & Half
Hello, hello! I am having a blast at the Runner’s World Festival & Half! Yay! Here is a recap from Friday! Workout Our first full day in Bethleham kicked off bright and early with a 3-mile shakeout run with Bart Yasso, who, if you didn’t know already, is the coolest guy I ever.
Mental Tricks for Tackling Your Long Run
Hello, hello! I just got back from a glorious 11-mile run. Ok, “glorious” probably isn’t the best word to describe it””running is hard and not as easy as I remember it, and it’s been really tough for me to get back into it””but this morning’s run was one of the more enjoyable ones I’ve had in awhile.
Pumpkin Spice Latte Protein Smoothie
Ever since I found the Silk Iced Latte at my local grocery store, I’ve been thinking about different ways to use it. Of course, it’s delicious mixed with iced coffee, which is how I usually drink it, but I knew it would also taste amazing as part of a smoothie.
Interview With CrossFit Games Competitor Marcus Hendren
Remember when I had the opportunity to interview Christmas Abbott by email””thanks to the nice people from the Spartan World Championships? Well, I also had the chance to interview CrossFit Games competitor (and farmer), Marcus Hendren. (He placed 7th and 6th, respectively, in the 2012 and 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games.)
Good morning! Happy Thursday! You guys seemed to enjoy my first Photo Dump post, so here’s another one! I also need to delete some photos from my iPhone (so I can upgrade to iOS7), so this post has a dual purpose! Haha!
Is it too early to start thinking about Halloween costumes? For Murphy? Every October, I try to find Murphy the perfect Halloween costume. In the past, we’ve tried a lobster, shark, and spider costume, but none of them worked, mostly because his curly pug tail got in the way and the costume didn’t fit properly.
Friday Favorites {Food Edition}
Good morning and happy Friday! I’m off to Newport, Rhode Island with the Haupert family this afternoon. I am pumped. It’s my FAVORITE weekend of the year. We always have so much fun, and Mal and I look forward to it all year long.
Greetings from Newport, Rhode Island! Mal and I arrived in Newport late on Friday afternoon and his parents arrived a little while later. We had a low-key evening at home in the condo””ate dinner, played at least an hour of Candy Crush (Mal and my mother-in-law got me hooked), and then went to bed early.
My favorite fall recipe ever is my Mom’s Apple Crisp. (You may have heard me mention it a few dozen times now on CNC.) It’s so incredibly easy to make, and it always turns out so well (seriously, it’s incredible), so I decided to use her recipe as inspiration for a gluten-free apple crisp.
My Favorite Budget Finds at Whole Foods
Hello, hello! I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday flew by for me! Lunch Yesterday, I spent the morning work, work, working my tail off and then broke for lunch around noon. I’ve had a major craving for chicken noodle soup lately.
Good morning and happy Friday! Here’s another fabulous pug costume to add to my collection of funny Halloween pug costumes! Thanks, Marrisa! I love the little hat. So cute! Haha! [source] Breakfast This morning, I couldn’t decide what I wanted for breakfast.
Good morning! Happy Tuesday! Breakfast I brought back an oldie but goodie for breakfast this morning: French Toast Breakfast Scramble! Remember this one? It’s been awhile, huh? Well, it was so delicious, I ate two servings of it.
Hi, guys! Good morning and happy Hump Day! (Uh-oh! Guess what day it is!?) Breakfast I’m back on the oatmeal train, and it’s as delicious as I remember! In the mix: rolled oats, almond milk, chia seeds, a handful of trail mix, a huge scoop of peanut butter, and fresh raspberries on top.
