With the looming deadline of the first draft of my book, it’s time to get serious. I can’t believe that I only have about 4 weeks left to finish. I feel like there is still so much to do! 😯
Sometimes, I think I am insane for taking on a book when I already work 50+ hours a week, but I know it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity– I’d be even more crazy to turn it down! (I’m slowly losing my mind, but I just keep reminding myself that it will all be worth it in the end!)
A few weeks ago, writing at the butt-crack of dawn worked for me, but suddenly, I can’t get myself out of bed and focused to write. I’m not sure what happened to my early morning mojo? But, I guess you can’t force something like that, right? So, I’ve decided to take advantage of my afternoons and write then. Maybe I just need a change of pace? All I know is that it’s crunch time, baby!
Lunch
Today’s lunch was a tad on the light side, but only because I planned to incorporate a treat from Starbucks. Cookie Friday is coming a day early! 😉
Lunch included Siggi’s Pomegranate & Passion Fruit yogurt, which was tart instead of sweet. I liked it a lot.
I also had some carrot and celery sticks.
And, a banana.
Cereal + granola to mix into my yogurt.
And, finally, a Vega Whole Food Vibrancy bar.
Today’s lunch didn’t really seem like a “real” meal because I just snacked all afternoon.
Snack
The weather is totally gross today. It’s been snowing all day long, but none of it has stuck. I heard someone in my office refer to it as “nuisance snow.” Yep, exactly.
Now, I’m at Starbucks ready to write, write, write! I bought an Outrageous Oatmeal Cookies and a decaf, non-fat misto to help “fuel” my brain cells! 😉
Hopefully, they’ll help get the creative juices flowing.
It’s time to get ‘er done! Wish me luck!
P.S. I’m hosting a recipe contest on Trading Up Downtown! There’s some good prizes at stake, including one of my favorite cookbooks!
