Good morning!

Q and I survived our first two days home alone! Haha! No major meltdowns and we even went on a couple of adventures!

Tuesday

After saying goodbye to Mal, Q and I headed out around the neighborhood for a 35-minute power walk. I actually planned to run with him in the jogging stroller, but walking just seemed more appealing. Maybe I wasn’t quite awake yet, but I assume it was probably the heat. It was so dang hot and humid. Holy moly. I was a sweaty beast by the end!

Speaking of the heat,  Q and I (and Murphy) stayed inside for the rest of the day. It was just too hot for outdoor activities. Inside activities included: Q eating every 2 hours like clockwork, tummy time, whacking butterflies on his playmat, reaching for leaves in his lounger, babbling, blowing bubbles, reading books, and me attempting to clean the house and do some work, neither of which really happened! Haha!

Wednesday

After breakfast yesterday morning, Q and I headed to Southfield for a stroller workout.

It was a lot of fun and a serious total body workout. Both my arms and legs were burning at times!

I actually forgot my Timex GPS watch, so I used the timer on my iPhone instead. I estimated that my mile pace with the jogging stroller was around 10:00 minutes, so I ran for 2:30 for each of the 400 meters. Just wanted to throw that out there as an option if you don’t have a GPS watch. Additionally, you can reduce the number of rounds (i.e. 3 rounds for time) or cut the reps in half (i.e. 25 walking lunges + 12 push-ups) (or a combination of both) as modifications.

As for the walking lunges and push-ups, I just parked the stroller and then performed the movements in the grass nearby (hence, the dirty, grassy knees in the photo below).

After our sweat session, Q and I swung by Marylou’s for an iced coffee. It was the perfect way to end our workout!
