The Power of Transformation

On my travels home from Oregon the other day, I bought a copy of O, The Oprah Magazine. (The “How to Transform Your”¦ Stress Level” headline caught my attention!)

On one of the first pages of the magazine was a piece where five of the issue’s contributors (including Ted Allen – remember when I met him?) were asked a series of questions about the power of transformation.

I enjoyed reading the various questions and responses, so I decided to turn them into a fun post on CNC. Here are my responses to the five questions asked.

This morning’s breakfast was a two-ingredient pancake (I’m getting really good at making these things – look how perfectly round it is) with almond butter on top. I also drank a glass of an iced decaf vanilla chai tea with almond milk and cinnamon.

For lunch, I reheated some leftover cod and sautéed kale from last night’s dinner. I also added some avocado on the side.

As an afternoon snack, I ate a sliced banana with almond butter. Best snack ever.

P.S. Check out my newest post on The Supplemental: At-Home, No-Equipment Required Workouts!

  1. I would love to transform my feeling of always having to find a solution/fix for everyones problems; but I would never change being there for everyone I love and listening (which is how I get into the whole stress of feeling I need to ‘fix everything for everyone’)

    Love the colon cartoon, haa!

  2. Your home office looks freaking amazing, holy cow! Dying over the pug boat baha. I love fall leaves but I keep hearing about fall and I am so not ready for it…I need more summer BBQs and white wine first, ya know? 😛

  3. I’d love to transform my work schedule, but money helps keep the lights on…

I want to thank you for the great work you’ve put into the blog. Since I’ve started reading this blog (one week ago) I’ve run 4 miles everyday and prepared every single meal!

Your almond butter in these photos looks righteous! May I ask where you buy this, or is it homemade?
