Apparently, I’m not the only one who is a tiny bit excited about our upcoming vacation. Check out the email that I just received from Mal:
As you can see, he’s PSYCHED!
After breakfast this morning, I finished packing for our trip. It might not look like it, but everything fit in my carry-on. It’s a packing miracle! Hooray!
(I may or may not have needed to sit on top of my suitcase to zip it, but, hey, it’s all in there, 10 days worth!)
After packing, I drove to an appointment, so I made a quick pit-stop by Marylou’s for a Peanut Butter Wonderful iced coffee. I mean, I had to drive right by it after all.
I pretty much chugged down my iced coffee in a matter of minutes. It was so, so, so delicious!
After my appointment and running a bunch of last-minute, vacation-related errands, I headed home for lunch, which was an egg white omelet with leftover roasted asparagus and blue cheese crumbles. Eggs + asparagus + blue cheese = holy yum.
Once I finished my omelet, I whipped up a smoothie similar to the one I drank yesterday afternoon. In the mix: frozen banana, mango, kale, vanilla protein powder, and almond milk.
I only have a few more loose ends to tie up before I’m shutting down my computer and officially letting myself enjoy a real, live, non-blogging vacation. It’s been more than 4 years since I’ve not taken photos and blogged about my eats for any sort of extended period of time, so I actually wonder how it’s going to feel? It’s definitely going to be a little weird at first!
Even though I won’t be blogging for the next 10 days, CNC will still be up and running. I have 21 fabulous guest posts and a sweet giveaway on Monday to celebrate my favorite day of the year, so be sure to check in to see what’s happening. I’ll be back on Tuesday (April 24) morning.
And, with that said, here’s to the final countdown!
