Mal and I set out to run a whole bunch of errands today, but, instead, we got sidetracked by outlet shopping. We planned to (quickly) stop at the Wrentham Outlets for a couple of things, but we ended up spending the entire day there. Who are we?!?
Ah, well. It wasn’t the worst way to spend an afternoon! 😉
Obviously, Mal and I didn’t need to go shopping, but we bought a number of items that we’ve been meaning to buy– plus a few that we didn’t. (We’ve already decided to eat a few “pantry meals” this week to even out our spending.)
Mal and I shopped until the early evening, so, on the drive home, we stopped to grab dinner at Ichiro Sushi in East Milton Square. We were both famished! We never ate lunch! 😯
Hooray for take-out sushi! 😀
Since we were right next door, Mal and I popped into the Fruit Center Marketplace to grab a bottle of wine to go with our sushi dinner. Sunday night + wine = pure relaxation.
Dinner
For dinner, Mal and I ordered a mix of maki rolls and a tempura veggie and shrimp appetizer. The appetizer was pretty good, but when isn’t tempura tasty? I also made myself a side salad with Goddess dressing drizzled on top.
For the rolls, we ordered Spicy Tuna Maki, Boston Maki (crabstick, salmon & cucumber), and Christmas Maki (shrimp tempura roll covered with tuna, avocado & tempura flakes).
The sushi rolls were just so-so. I loved the Christmas Maki and Mal loved the Boston Maki, but the Spicy Tuna Maki was disgusting. It was mushy and flavorless, which was a total bummer because it’s usually my favorite roll. Wah. 😕
The wine that we purchased was also kind of blah. It just didn’t have much flavor. Even still, it was fun to get take-out and drink wine with my hubby this evening. We had a nice little Sunday together! 😀
While Mal and I ate dinner, Murphy watched intensely for table droppings. Look at those eyes!
Mal and I are having a Jersey Shore marathon this evening. We’re midway through Season 1 and it’s ridiculous! So bad, yet so good! We can’t stop watching!
Night, guys! 😀
