Brrrrr”¦ it’s chilly out there this morning. Single digits! Yikes! Does anyone else miss summer as much as I do? Wah.

Now doesn’t the morning scene below look a lot nicer?

Ok, it’s a beach in the Bahamas and not my backyard in southern Massachusetts, but you know what I mean, right?

The image above is from an article about Lonely Planet’s Best Places to Get Fit in 2013. I really enjoyed reading (and daydreaming) about all of the different places from around the world to get fit. Check out the workouts and places featured:

1.Wild Fitness in Kenya

2.Hiking the Appalachian Trail

3.A Detox Retreat in Bali, Indonesia

4.Bikini Bootcamp in Tulum, Mexico

5.A Yoga Ashram in the Bahamas

6.Fatpacking in various locations across the globe

7.Following the Tour de France

8.Surf Camp in Australia

9.Triathlon Training in Italy

10.Thalmar Biarritz in France

I’d be more than happy to visit any of these places and get fit. The one that especially peaked my interest was Wild Fitness in Kenya, where you “channel your inner caveman” at a nature-oriented fitness resort on the Indian Ocean. Activities include: ”˜wild moving’ (barefoot running, swimming, climbing), ”˜wild eating’ (lots of meats, fruits and vegetables, no dairy or processed foods) and ”˜wild living’ (good sleep habits, ”˜tribal bonding’ with others). Doesn’t that sound cool? I’d love to spend a vacation that way!

Breakfast

Yesterday’s breakfast was my usual French Toast Breakfast Scramble (love) with a couple of scoops of Teddie peanut butter. But, not just any old Teddie peanut butter: Unsalted Super Chunky!

Ok, don’t get too excited. It’s not as good as the (salted) Super Chunky, but it was still fun to try for the first time. Most grocery stores (at least the ones I shop at) don’t carry this variety””just the Smooth Unsalted. I wonder if that means people tend to buy smooth peanut butter over chunky? I dunno, but I’m a chunky gal all the way.

I also drank a glass of iced Dandy Blend with almond milk with breakfast.

Questions of the Day

How do you like your peanut butter: smooth or chunky?

If you had to pick from the list above, where would you most like to get fit?

P.S. Today’s the last day to register for the fitmixer Boot Camp! It starts a week from Monday (January 14th). I’m planning to do it too! CNC readers get 25% off registration with the code CNCBC25.
