Thanksgiving 2010 is off to a great start!
Last night, Mal and I met up with a bunch of our friends for a mini-reunion/birthday party. It’s a tradition for all of us to get together the night before Thanksgiving and catch up. Here’s my recap of Thanksgiving Eve 2009 and my 10-Year High School Reunion in 2008. It’s always a fun time! š
At last night’s Thanksgiving Eve gathering, I drank a million Winter Warmer beers.
And ate a zillion Pig in a Blanket, which tortured my stomach for the rest of the night. š I should have known better! šæ
I also munched on some other appetizers and a birthday cupcake.
Friends!
This morning, I woke up a tad dehydrated, but ready to run! Now that I recommitted to my marathon training, I’m not letting myself skip any workouts. I ran 6 miles in 53:06, which was an average pace of 8:51 and fast for me!
After my run, I made breakfast. I had a toasted English muffin with peanut butter and banana slices and a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee with eggnog in it. I <3 eggnog! š
Let the festivities begin! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

looks like you had a great time last night! i’m away on vacation, so i can’t exercise, but i know after 3 days of nonstop eating, i’ll be ready to get back to running too!
That seems like such a fun tradition! Glad you had fun…congrats on getting your runnn on š
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Ooh, I’ve never thought to put egg nog in my coffee! Gotta love any reason to buy pumpkin spice egg nog… Happy Thanksgiving Tina!
Ahh I can’t believe it’s Eggnog season already! Yay!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I never thought to put eggnog in my coffee – that sounds delicious! What a fun tradition to get together with friends right before the craziness of the holiday season starts! I can’t believe you still had the gumption to get up this morning and run – it sounds like you’re doing really well with your training!
Nice run! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
We were supposed to have our 10 year highschool reunion last night but basically it was just “show up at the bar and talk”. I passed. Apparently 3 whole people showed up. IMO, Facebook has ruined the concept of high school reunions š
On an upbeat note, it looks like you and Mal had a great time. Happy Thanksgiving Tina! š
Happy Thanksgiving to you, Mal, and Murphy!
Looks like such a fun time! I haven’t been out of university for long, but my usual group of friends tends to have potluck dinners every so often and I love getting to see them again to catch up. Enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving!
That was a speedy run! Good job.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
I love getting groups of friends together. It’s always so much fun! =) Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you have a wonderful day!!
Good for you for getting in a run.
your blog and a few others make me wish i liked beer! especially pumpkin beer. i sip my husband’s sometimes, but just can’t do it. but now i think i’ll try that winter warmer beer. i love all things seasonal!
Did you maybe mean to write 2008 above for your 10 year reunion? š Happy Thanksgiving, Tina!
Wow, that’s an amazing time for six miles no matter what, but especially after a night on the town!
That is such a nice tradition! My friends and I actually do that over Thanksgiving too, since we all come home from university. I hope we’ll continue it like you have!
That’s so fun that you get together with your friends. It looks like a pretty big group too!
I love eggnog too! I’m determined to try making it from scratch this year.
Happy Thanksgiving! And of course you had to eat a zillion pigs in blankets. How could you not eat something with such a cute name? š
What a great tradition. That is so great that you are still so close with a bunch of your high school friends. I don’t think I keep in touch with more than 2 people from high school.
Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful Tina!
Happy Thanksgiving! Never thought of putting eggnog in coffee – great idea! š
thats an awesome tradition, i love that.
hmmm, eggnog, i’ve heard of it but sadly, never tried it.
My boyfriend’s mom had that brand of eggnog – only the sugar cookie flavor- at tonight’s dinner and I am hooked! It was amazinggggg.
Way to go on the run this morning! I was totally not feeling mine but was sooo glad I went afterwards (it was freeeezing)! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!
I’ve never really been a fan of egg nog. I can tolerate it for a while but then it just becomes too thick for me. It’s weird. And yah for a good morning run! It helps make me feel a little less guilty about splurging after I’ve had a great run.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!!
How fun!! Good for you for both indulging last night and still getting up and getting in a run š
Happy Thanksgiving!
wish u the same,..;-)
Looks like a blast..hope you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving!!!
Wow, looks like a wonderful time! Never tried eggnog in coffee, but there’s an eggnog flavored tea I adore. Maybe I need to look into the vegan eggnogs. š
I LOVE Winter Warmer… one of my favorite beers! I would have drank a million, too š
Hope you, M and m had a great Thanksgiving!
What a great idea to have a pre-Thanksgiving evening with friends! Looks like you all had a blast š
i just have to say how ridiculous it is that i love pigs-in-a-blanket as much as i do…but they totally rip my stomach apart too!
I love pigs in a blanket! Oh and I love Thanksgiving!
Happy belated Thanksgiving.
coffee and eggnog, what a good idea.
Hope you had a happy thanksgiving
