I am tired. I haven’t stop moving all day long, but I got a lot done… and, that’s all that matters, right? š
Snack
Before Mal and I headed out to tackle our monstrous To Do list, we shared a Peanut Choco Nature’s Path Chewy Granola Bar that the company sent me to sample.
It was a really yummy bar– chocolaty, peanut buttery, and sort of cinnamon-y.
Then, Mal and I hit-up Dunkin’ Donuts for some caffeinated energy. The beautiful weather also called for iced coffee! š
The first task of the day was washing Mal’s car, which was sort of like a mini workout.
It was fun, too! š
So fresh and so clean.
Oh, baby! š
Our next stop was Best Buy to buy a new microwave. (We finally broke down and decided that we needed one in our lives.)
The microwaves at Best Buy were so expensive! I had no idea that microwaves cost so much, so instead of buying the first one that we saw, Mal and I ran over to Kmart to comparison shop.
Surprisingly, Kmart’s microwaves were more expensive, so we went back to Best Buy.
We ended up purchasing this beauty from Best Buy. Looks sort of futuristic, doesn’t it?
The final stop of the day was the grocery store, where Mal and I battled some serious Sunday afternoon crowds, but we made it out alive in about 30 minutes. Not too bad!
Lunch
Mal and I arrived home after 4 o’clock, so, not surprisingly, we were starving for lunch. I threw together a couple of bagel sandwiches with all of the fixings for us.
On my bagel sandwich: deli ham, Swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce, mayo, and sprouts. It was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten in awhile! The Everything bagels were an excellent choice by my husband.
On the side, I had some cucumber sticks and Pop Chips.
And, a pickle!
After lunch, Mal and I took Murphy for an hour-long walk around the neighborhood. On our walk, we stopped by Dave and Marie’s house for some puppy playtime. Murphy played his little heart out and now he is totally pooped! He’s snoring away in his crate right now.
Then, Mal and I cleaned our entire apartment and started on 3 loads of laundry.
And, finally, the very last thing that we had to do was hang our pictures, which took FOR-EVER!!! šÆ But, now everything is hung and our place is just about complete. Thank goodness!
Here’s another little preview of our apartment. I think the grand tour will be next Saturday!
Dinner
Because Mal and I ate lunch so late in the day, we decided to have peanut butter-banana smoothies for dinner, which was an excellent decision.
Mmm… smoothie! It totally hit the spot.
I also enjoyed two coconut date nut rolls for “dinner.”
Up next: PJs + couch + movie.
Good night, guys!

I’m surprised you aren’t watching the Oscar’s! and everytime you have Dunkins up on here I get jealous! There are some things I truly miss about Massachusetts… =)
I love Sundays where I get a lot done. You just feel so much better about Monday! I still love those keep calm signs, I need to find one that fits me.
Ahhh, I am IN LOVE with your last two pictures. I know you’ve talked about them before, but who makes them? Way to go with the Sunday productivity. Time to relax now =]
@Hillary [Nutrition Nut on the Run]: Check my FAQs! š
I love those black and white pics!!
Those coconut date rolls are fab–too bad the WF’s near me doesn’t have them in bulk. I make them but they always go so fast š
Love the signs you’ve got on your wall!
I love that pug picture! š I imagine it makes you smile every time you pass.
I always forget about bagel sandwiches! Looks so yummy!

That bagel sandwich looks awesome!!
@Laura (On the Threshold of Greatness): It’s Murphy! š
The bar looks tasty, I haven’t seen that one before.
Sounds like a productive day! Love the pic of Murphy!
Wow, girl, you got a ton accomplished today! Go you! š
Listening to all the things you accomplished today made ME tired! š Get some rest girl!! Don’t you just love being productive though?
i LOVE the “keep calm & ….” photos. where are they from ?!
wow I am getting tired just reading about your day.
Our microwave bit the dust a few months ago, and I, too, did not know how expensive they were!
Where do you buy those coconut date nut rolls? They always look so delicious!
Definitely sounds like a productive day!
No wonder K-Mart is closing so many stores. I’ve often found that they are more expensive thatn other stores. Plus their stores are always such a mess!
i love your framed posters. do you make them yourself? i noticed you had a personalized tag on the gift bottle of wine.
LOVE your pictures! i’m excited for the big reveal…i bet y’alls place is so cute! i’m pretty impressed with your productivity; I was supposed to have a day like that but broke down and took a nap instead. OOPS š
Watch where you put your microwave. The heat from the microwave might cause your fridge to work harder to stay cold.
I love your art! You guys have such great taste! I can’t wait for the “official” tour
Smoothies for dinner- that sounds nice! And don’t you drink iced coffee everyday anyway? š
that picture of murphy is too cute!! I actually like days where you’re going, going, going…it always makes me feel so productive!
Oooh, that granola bar looks yummy!
I love sing bagels for sandwiches, so tasty and filling. š
Jenn
Those bagel sandwiches look tasty! Are they bagel thins? (By the way, I recommend bagel thins to anyone who hasn’t tried them.)
I love all the photography and art that you hung up. There’s something about wall art that really personalizes a space. I’m in a college apartment and I haven’t hung any art because I don’t want to make any holes in the wall or anything. But your pictures are making me consider some art in my own life!
Tina, I think there’s an iPhone app that would let you compare prices of things on the spot.My boyfriend’s Droid has one where he can scan the barcode using the phone camera and it will tell him the price of that item at other stores. I’m sure someone’s thought of that for the iPhone.
I experienced the same ordeal when buying my microwave. Lowes actually sold my current microwave for 35 dollars less than Wal Mart!
My biggest annoyance with buying a microwave was seeing it on sale for $20 less two weeks later… I wanted to throw my current microwave against a wall when I saw that… grr! But at least I would have been able to acquire a new one on sale…
Looks like you had a productive day!!! I loved ending the day with something small but tasty just like a smoothie š
Love the photo of Murphy. I have a little Jack Russell and the way they stare up at you is precious!
nice microwave! i couldn’t live without mine
Seems like everybody did errands today! The weather was beautiful.
How do you make your iced coffee? I never knew how to make it at home.
What a productive day you have had!!! And those framed pics are just too gorgeous! Love them š
PB and banana smoothies..what a perfect dinner!
I LOVE your pictures in your house – I seriously cannot wait for the grand tour, you seem to have great furnishings taste š
Gosh you have been busy!
Did you know the original ‘keep calm and carry on’ posters were designed as propoganda posters for use in WW2? I had always thought they were put in the underground bunkers to get people to carry on walking through. Apparently they were actually intended for use AFTER the Nazi’s invaded Britain . . . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keep_Calm_and_Carry_On
What a wonderful day! Perfect blend of tasks, good eats, and fun, in my opinion. And I always forget how yummy sprouts are…
I love coconut covered date rolls, the best healthy alternative (next to frozen fruit) for dessert. All of your eats look so simple and delicious for the day, I’m especially in love with that bagel sandwich!
Enjoy your week!
Oh my gosh! My husband and I were THIS CLOSE to buying the Very Same Microwave at Target yesterday!!!!!! (we don’t own one either at the mo., and have decided to buy…) … instead of getting it though, we decided to research our online options. š (though I had an Oster toaster once that withstood daily use for more than five years and was still going strong when I sold it on craigslist. Wow!)
Alright…I see that you ordered the I LOVE YOU BLOGS & Coffee from MadyByGirl (Jennifer Ramos), but I e.mailed her and she said she didn’t make the Keep Calm posters. Where are they from? =)
Everything bagels are totally a food weakness of mine. I’ve been plotting to make my own whole wheat everything bagels one of these days since I can’t seem to find them anywhere in stores.
