Heyyyyyyy! How’s it going?
So, yesterday was a fun day. It started with a simple breakfast…
Followed by my 34-week doctor’s appointment. Mal came with me this time since he’s off from school this week. I honestly don’t mind going to appointments by myself, but it was really nice having him with me yesterday. And, of course, he liked hearing the baby’s heart during my appointment. (I always get excited about that part!)
My doctor’s appointment went well. Baby Haupert is growing nice and big and moving non-stop. (My doctor laughed when I called him a “lunatic” because he moves so much.) His heart sounded strong and steady. And, somehow, I lost a pound from my previous weigh-in, which I find hard to believe since I’ve been eating allthecarbs lately, but my doctor wasn’t concerned at all.
After my doctor’s appointment, Mal and I swung by Whole Foods to pick up some supplies for a television shoot at our house later in the afternoon. (More on this in a minute!) I can’t remember exactly what was in my juice, but it was de-lic-ious with sweet and spicy/gingery flavors.
Mal and I enjoyed our juices on the sun porch with Murphy.
A little while later, I threw together lunch for Mal and me. On the menu: ham and Swiss English muffin sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Mmm!
After that, Mal took Murphy for a long walk in the woods while a TV crew from New England Cable News (NECN) interviewed me about the lifestyle aspects of juicing. They already interviewed an RD about the health benefits of juice, so they wanted someone to talk about how it fits into one’s life.
The segment is suppose to air on Friday, so I’ll be sure to get you guys the details if you’re local and want to watch it. NECN also puts their clips online, so I’ll definitely link to it from CNC (as long as I’m not a total goober in it! Haha!)
