Well, guys, last weekend was absolutely incredible. Mal and I were invited to spend two, complimentary nights at Twin Farms, an all-inclusive, five-star resort and spa, in Barnard, Vermont. We had an amazing time– eating and drinking, spending time outside in nature, and chatting extensively with wine expert and educator, Kevin Zraly. Mal and I were very, very fortunate to have been invited as guests, and our time at Twin Farms is definitely an experience…

Good times in Vermont! Last night, the group enjoyed another 17-person dinner. And, boy, was it a feast!!! We had some kick-ass chefs in our company! Before dinner, we enjoyed appetizers. Drinks. And blogging. What did you think of Mal’s post last night? Murphy loved all of the extra attention that he received this weekend. He was quite popular among the ladies. Pug paparazzi. Pugs & kisses! Murphy really liked Melissa. Check out this pug kiss!…

The day started with Murphy asking Mal if he could go skiing too.  The answer was “no”.  Murphy responded by making this face. This is a picture of us being dorks. Yum”¦ breakfast! I ate oatmeal, granola, bananas, and Barney Butter.  That coffee cup is also filled with Barney Butter”¦ it’s like CRACK! We hit the mountain a little before 9.  I had no idea how to wear goggles or gloves.  Mal explained it to…

Last night’s dinner was”¦ wait for it”¦ legendary. We had 17 people for dinner! That’s a lot of food! Mal and I were invited to spend the weekend at Ashley’s aunt’s house in Vermont. Ashley also invited a bunch of her friends from New York City and a few blog friends, including Theodora, Leslie, Melissa, and Meghann, to ski, snowboard, eat, drink, and be merry. Mal and I (and Murphy) arrived just before dinner was about to…

Hello, Boston! Oh, how I have missed you so.  It’s funny. When I lived in the city, so many things annoyed the heck of me: lack of parking, unreliable public transportation, high cost of living, trash and dog poop everywhere (well, at least where we lived). But, now that I live outside of the city, I miss all of that stuff. So, having a “night out on the town” was really something special for me. (Oh,…

And just like that vacation is over. How sad. 😕 But, looking back on the weekend, I’m very happy that Mal and I were able to get away and completely relax. It’s most definitely needed every once in awhile. Back in August, between BlogHer and the Healthy Living Summit, the folks at Topnotch Resort & Spa in Stowe, Vermont contacted me to ask if I wanted to visit their resort for a weekend. (Does a…

My favorite time of year is here: football season!!! Ok, the above statement is a complete lie. I actually dislike football, but I’m attempting to like it this year. Mal and his BBF, Dave, are freaks love football and already have plans to get together every Sunday (or Monday) for the game until the end of the season. I don’t want to miss out on the fun (or the yummy food), so I figure if I can’t…

I love (running in) Vermont! Mal 1:07:36 Tina 1:22:35

I can’t believe my weekend in Vermont is all over. How sad. 😥 BUT, Mal and I already have a plan in the works to visit again this fall. Hopefully, I can make it until then! 😉 Breakfast After a late-night of partying, we ended up sleeping in a little bit. Once we got moving, Mal, Murphy, and I headed out to grab iced coffees for everyone while Dave and Marie started on breakfast. Dave…

This morning, I woke up smiling thinking about all of the fun I had yesterday. Seriously, why don’t I just live in Vermont?!? After breakfast, Mal, Marie, Dave, and I drove into downtown Burlington. We walked around Church Street, did a little shopping, and then hit the farmers’ market. At the farmers’ market, everything looked so fresh and delicious. I pretty much wanted to buy one of everything, including this Buddha pug bag. I was…

Good morning! I love waking up in Vermont! I just got back from a glorious 5.85-mile run through the Lake Champlain Bikeways, which run throughout the Lake Champlain Valley. Rumor has it there’s 1,300+ miles of bike paths! Check out the sign that I saw on my run! 😆 Breakfast Within minutes of finishing my run, Mal and Dave arrived home with bagels and iced coffee! Yes!!! Best husbands ever! 😀 My hubby ordered me…

Greetings from I-89!! We have quite the full car on our way to Vermont: 3 dogs and 4 humans! The boys are in the front seat: Dave, Grady, and Mal. And the girls (Marie, Bella, and me) are in the back seat with Murphy. (He loves to sit on Mom’s lap! 😉 ) In typical road trip fashion, we stopped for snacks and potty breaks on the ride up to VT. The beers are for later!…

If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be right. Ever since tasting Buttermilk Syrup a few weeks ago, I have not been able to get it out of my mind. It has truly changed the way I eat pancakes… and waffles. Despite how amazing Buttermilk Syrup tastes, the recipe is not at all healthy. It’s definitely a treat. The recipe calls for 1.5 cups of butter, 1.5 cups of buttermilk, and 3 cups…

For years, Mal and I have been obsessed with recreating The Red Onion Sandwich from the Red Onion Cafe in Burlington, Vermont. It’s the most delicious sandwich I have ever eaten, and I would easily eat it at least once a week if I could. It’s that good. Seriously. From what Mal and I remember, the Red Onion Sandwich is made with roasted turkey breast, smoked Gruyere cheese, red onion, sliced Granny Smith apple, bacon,…
