Good morning! How was your Cinco de Mayo? Did you do anything special? I actually celebrated Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day yesterday. Two holidays in one day! Yeehaw. My mom got her new living room furniture last week, so my sister and I went to check it out yesterday and it looked really great. My mom also painted the walls, so the whole space looked lighter and brighter. Hooray for Grandma’s new furniture! Once we all got settled, I gave…

Hello, hello! I hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday!  Breakfast I started my day with a very pumpkin-y breakfast: Sweet Breakfast Scramble in a jar (SBSIAJ) with canned pumpkin, TJ’s Pumpkin Butter, and an extra scoop of Teddie Peanut Butter in the mix. The combo of pumpkin butter + peanut butter was de-lic-ious! I also drank a glass of iced pumpkin spice Dandy Blend with almond milk. After breakfast, I got my plank on! Here’s the first…

At Mal’s Super Awesome Birthday Weekend, a few of us started talking about Kool-Aid””probably because of some sort of reference to drinking the “CrossFit Kool-Aid,” which Mal and I have apparently guzzled. The two of us have actually become those annoying people who talk about one thing (CrossFit) all the time to our friends, but, honestly, we can’t help it. We even try to reign it in and talk about something else, but our conversation…

On the side: a whole wheat English muffin with butter slathered on top. Lunch After breakfast, I went into NuVal…

Guess who did a rope climb today?? THIS GIRL!!! Woohoo!! Workout Today’s WOD was just too good to pass up. I wasn’t even planning to go to CrossFit this morning (I actually had 7 miles to run on my calendar), but the “Sweet Potato Chipper” looked like a lot of fun. I love workouts like this! WOD: “Sweet Potato Chipper” For time: 12 Turkish Get-ups (6 ea. side) 16 Box Jumps (24, 20) 22 Ring Rows…

My first day of 2012 involved family, football, and champagne. Not a bad way to start of the year, right? My in-laws came over just before the kick-off of the Patriots game. They brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate the new year, so we cracked it open and toasted to 2012. All of us had a pretty tough 2011, so we were really happy to ring in 2012 together. After being away from home…
