Greetings from Oregon! I just wanted to quickly pop in and share some highlights from our family vacation so far. We’re here for a few more days, so there are plenty more adventures to come. Ok, here we go! Ready for July 4th! Iced Americano with coconut syrup and coconut syrup. It’s much too hot for pants. The “Dada Monster” strikes again! Family party at our place. Cowboy Caviar. Cruising up stairs. NBD. Pool time!

I felt the magic of swiss herbs in Ricola® Herb & Throat drops as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #swissherbs Last week, Mal and I took Quinn (and Murphy) on his first hike of the season. It’s finally starting to warm up here, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and took a nice, long hike together. Before the hike, we got Quinn all packed up with a bunch of must-haves for an outdoor adventure…

Ok, let’s start from the beginning! Our little family flew to Seattle to visit Mal’s sister and her husband for a few days during Mal’s school vacation. It was Quinn’s first flying experience, so we were excited, but a tad nervous too. Mal and I were super duper organized for this trip (detailed post coming soon), so we were calm and collected when we arrived at the airport. Parking, luggage, security, yada yada… it all went great. We had…

Hi, guys! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mal was away at a bachelor party, so it was just Murphy and me hanging out all weekend. I thought about making plans with friends or family, but then I realized it was probably my last weekend home alone for awhile. Baby H. is going to be here before I know it, so I decided to embrace my time alone and have a low-key…

Greetings from Colorado! I’m spending the next two days with Silk as part of a new partnership with the brand. The company is hosting a group of bloggers””myself included””in Colorado, so we can meet the team and learn more about the Silk brand. [Disclaimer: Silk is compensating me for my participation in their blogger program, but, as always, the thoughts and opinions expressed on CNC are honest and all my own.] This morning, I took…

Mal and I hiked the Koko Head Crater Trail this morning. After so many of you guys suggested it, I really wanted to do it, and I’m so glad that I did! As Mal said: “It was the best and worst decision.” Haha! Quick tip: Type in “Koko Head District Park” into your GPS instead of just “Koko Head.” Mal and I learned the hard way and ended up in some random neighborhood a couple…

I still can’t believe we’re on Hawaii. This is seriously a trip of a lifetime, and I am forever thankful to Oahu’s Visitor Bureau for making it possible. Ahhh! I am so excited for the next few days””we have quite the agenda! Snack I woke up around 4:00 AM this morning and could not get back to sleep for the life of me, so I got up and did some blogging in the lobby of…

Yesterday was a super active day filled with sun, fun, biking, and hiking around Central Oregon. After breakfast, Mal and I, his parents, and Mal’s dad’s cousin went for a 40-minute bike ride around Black Butte Ranch. There are miles and miles of paved bike paths and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking, so it was quite a treat. Three-Fingered Jack. Mount Washington. Lunch After our bike ride, we popped home for a quick lunch since…
