Heyyyyyy, friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! 🙂 Just wanted to share some photos from the weekend as well as this past week to show you guys what we’ve been up to lately and share some great news! At a barbecue yesterday afternoon, Qman got a really good look at our friends’ (cold, not-in-use) fire-pit. Haha! Too cute!  Quinn is a natural at Polish Horseshoes. He understood what to do right away, which was quite entertaining to watch…

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit the new Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills in Plymouth, Massachusetts. (The Inn has another location in Skaneateles, New York.) The Inn opened at the beginning of July, so it’s brand new and absolutely gorgeous! When I arrived, I immediately scoped out the grounds to see what the place was all about. According to the website, Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills was designed to “evoke the warmth,…

I eased back into CrossFit with, uh, 5 workouts last week. HA! That’s more than I went before I got pregnant! I just couldn’t stay away! But, seriously, I took it easy and didn’t push myself too hard. I was never super sore, so I just kept going to classes and before I knew it, I had racked up 5 visits. Man, it’s awesome to be back. It’s even better than I remember! Sunday: Off…

I scaled/modified the workout because my abs aren’t totally healed after child birth. Have you heard of diastasis recti (also known as abdominal separation)? Sounds crazy, right? It kind of…

This past weekend was so fun! Mal and I got together with a bunch of different friends and had such a blast with them. I am so thankful that we have so many wonderful people in our lives (including you guys)! We are very lucky. SATURDAY Mal and I were all over the place on Saturday. We left his parents’ house after being there since Wednesday afternoon, stopped home briefly to drop off Murphy, and…

Either I exercise too hard or my body is just old because I had an especially tough time recovering from my workouts this week. I ended up taking four rest days, which is more time off than I usually need. Even though I knew my body needed them, I still felt a little frustrated taking so many rest days this week. I’m glad I listened to my body though because, boy, I needed those rest…

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! Mal, Murphy, and I had a great one! It started out like a regular day: OMG Pancakes for breakfast. A CrossFit workout. We did a hero WOD (“D.T.”) in honor of Independence Day. And then Mal and I decided to host a last-minute barbeque at our house, which meant we needed to take a quick trip to the grocery store. Clean our house. And backyard….
