Hi, guys! Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve enjoyed a wonderful weekend so far! Fitness-wise, last week wasn’t a great one for me. I was struggling with a flare, so, obviously, I didn’t feel 100% or super psyched about doing any sort of physical activity. However, I managed to fit in a few workouts, including a 10-mile run (which was awesome), so I actually feel pretty good about last week’s workouts. And, hey, I’m starting to…

Hi, guys! Happy Monday! Did the weekend fly by for anyone else? I feel like it was just Friday afternoon. Time flies when you’re having fun? Totally. Friday After CrossFit on Friday, Mal and I met up with Kerrie and her boyfriend Mat. We hit the beach for some sun and fun, and then grabbed a late lunch at The Red Parrot. Our first order of business was cocktails! I haven’t drank in weeks, but…

Even though I stopped taking photos of everything I eat, I still find myself snapping pics of my food. I guess it’s more ingrained in me than I thought. Apparently, 5+ years of documenting my eats will do that! Anyway, I thought I’d take you through some of the meals and snacks I’ve been eating lately. Fresh raspberries with almond butter and chocolate & white chocolate chips – a very dessert-y way to eat fruit!…

Success!! I completed the Home for the Holidays Virtual 10K and I set a new PR while doing it! I ran on a treadmill, but my time was still faster than my previous 10K, so that counts, right?   As part of the Virtual 10K, prizes will be awarded for the most spirited holiday outfit, so I dressed as a Christmas ninja. Obviously, I need to invest in some holiday race gear. Running on a treadmill for 6.2 miles…

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen this tweet from me last Friday afternoon: I bought my foam roller a little over a year ago, and I have since used it incorrectly. Great job with that foam roller, Tina. As you probably remember, I spent last Friday and Saturday at a live workshop with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) to get some hands-on experience in preparation for taking the personal trainer…

So long New York City. See you in twenty days for the marathon. Eek! 😯 Breakfast After a wonderful night of restful and much-needed sleep, I woke up bright-eyed and bushytailed on Theodora‘s couch. A few minutes later, she woke up and put on a fresh pot of coffee for the two of us. Great thinking, Theodora. To my cup of coffee, I added a splash of caramel macchiato creamer, which made it taste exactly like one….

Remember this insanely delicious cocktail from the other night? Well, I successfully recreated it at home! Wahoo!! This Skinny Piña Colada has nowhere near the fat and calories of a regular Piña Colada because I used coconut water instead of coconut cream and added just a splash of pineapple juice. Skinny Piña Colada Ingredients: 2 oz Barcardi Rock Coconut Rum 5 oz coconut water 2 oz pineapple juice Directions: Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with…

I’ve come a long way since my early days of working from home. I no longer sit on the couch hunched over my laptop or at the dining room table where I can watch TV. Now-a-days, I work in my office at a desk and only sometimes listen to music. I’ve also figured out how to work with a needy dog (aka “attention whore”) by my side all day long as seen here, here, here, and here….
